I recently had the opportunity to try out the Amazfit GTR Mini Smart Watch, and I must say that I’m thoroughly impressed with its features and performance. First and foremost, the design of the watch is sleek and stylish, fitting comfortably on my wrist. It’s a perfect blend of aesthetics and functionality. One aspect that stood out to me was the wide range of health tracking features and reminders available on this watch. From monitoring my daily activities to providing insightful data on my sleep patterns, the watch excelled in helping me maintain a healthy lifestyle. The accuracy of the functions, including step counting and sleep tracking, seemed spot-on, giving me confidence in the data it provided. One of the standout features of the Amazfit GTR Mini is its exceptional battery life. Even with continuous use, the watch conserves power effectively, allowing me to go about my day without worrying about frequent charging. This is particularly useful during longer activities or trips where access to a charger may be limited.Although I haven’t tested the GPS functionality extensively, I believe it would be a valuable asset for outdoor enthusiasts. The inclusion of 5 satellite positioning systems promises reliable and accurate tracking, especially during runs or hikes. The overall user experience of the Amazfit GTR Mini is highly satisfactory. The accompanying app complements the watch seamlessly, offering detailed insights and customization options. The app’s interface is intuitive and user-friendly, enhancing the overall experience of using the watch.I was impressed by the accuracy of the SPO₂ and heart rate monitoring features. During my use, I didn’t notice any significant variations in my heart rate readings, indicating the reliability of the watch’s sensors. While I haven’t tested the water resistance personally, the watch’s 5 ATM rating ensures it can withstand immersion in water up to a certain depth, adding to its durability and versatility. In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend the Amazfit GTR Mini Smart Watch to anyone seeking a reliable and feature-rich device to monitor and improve their overall health. Its sleek design, impressive health tracking capabilities, long-lasting battery, and user-friendly experience make it a worthy companion for your fitness journey.

Pros:1. Sleep tracking is nice and more than I expected. It provides daily trends on sleep habits, including the time frames of REM, Deep Sleep and Light Sleep (all shown in separate parts in the same graph). Love this, and didn’t expect I would use it, but I do. It reminds me to go to bed based on a goal. Provides sleep grades compared to others and this goal. And it has been successful in helping me track my overall sleep health, and to develop better sleep habits. This was an unexpected perk for me.2. Setup of the watch and the Zepp app was so much more painless than the initial watch I purchased and its app. It synced up quickly and correctly. The app started reporting, and transferring over to the Apple Health app right away once I got it all set up. It did take some figuring out how to get the Apple Health synced up, but that was a complexity issue more on the Apple side.3. The battery life is really good. I typically only have to charge every 3-4 days. Am very happy with the battery life considering how much I use the watch.4. The watch provides a wide array of health stats including the already described Sleep, Stress, Heart Rate, Blood Oxygen, Steps, Activities, Exercise, Calories, distance, and provides a PAI score each day that took a little to understand, but I now find very useful to just “summarize” if I’m staying active and healthy each day. I especially love the blood oxygen reading which I track every hour because I suffer from asthma that is allergy and autoimmune-related. I can now track when I might need to pay closer attention and “take a puff” before it gets really bad. I don’t know how accurate this all is, but the readings make enough sense to be useful in tracking my overall systematic health, and I find that very useful overall.5. I know I have only “unlocked” and used half of this watch and Zepp watch’s abilities. There is also geolocation capacities, which I look forward to using on a hike or outdoor activities.6. I also like the tap button on the side, and the many possibly configurations you can set up to customize how you interact with the watch. It’s easy to push because it sticks out, unlike some other smartwatches that you have to push just right. I use my tap button for 1) short tap to access all the apps (and you can buy or download free apps – this is also nice), 2) long tap to wake my watch. I just love the flexibility in setting up the watch to fit your own needs and preferences.7. My texts and messages from iMessage on my iPhone and WhatsApp come through with no issues. I like getting those notifications on my watch and then going to my phone to read the message. The text is previewed on the watch, but any attachments, I have to go to my phone.8. I get reminders from my calendars (Google, Apple, Work) on the watch. I like that a lot.9. The weather app is standard in look and data. Nice to have.10. You can scroll down on each app and screen, and the watch drills down to a lot detailed information. Love this. The amount of details is great (even for the weather).11. Also have alarming options. I can set alarms on my watch for daily activities.12. I love the round watch face as opposed to the square or rectangular face. It’s aesthetically a beautiful watch.Cons:1. Pricier than other smartwatches, but cheaper than Apple and other high end watches. For the price, I think it has a lot. So not sure this is a con. It’s more than I wanted to spend. :)2. There is so much it took a few days to set it all up the way I finally wanted it, and some were not intuitive. I even have MORE to set up, just haven’t.3. I may have missed it, but they have a stopwatch. Would be nice to have a Timer.4. The watch will notify you of incoming calls and missed calls, but does not allow you to make calls, nor is there voicemail on the watch. I don’t miss this actually because I usually have my phone with me too. I get the notification on the phone, and I then know to call someone back or listened to voicemail of a missed call.Overall, I am very pleased with this watch. It does what is advertised. Other than a bit lengthy and complex set up, it’s primarily an activities, health tracking with some daily management watch. And I am finding that’s really all I need it for. My goal of developing healthier habits is helped significantly along with this watch.

Last November I replaced my Fitbit Sense with the Amazfit GTR Mini, and I’m glad I did! I wanted a smartwatch that wasn’t bulky and huge and the GTR Mini fit my needs perfectly. This smartwatch works as advertised. The battery life is amazing. I’m getting a solid 8 days between charges and that’s when there is still about 28 percent left before charging! And that amoled screen is bright and clear. The sensors and the apps function as they’re suppose to, from sleep to heart monitoring to workouts, all work fine. The Zepp app offers comprehensive data that is smart and understandable. I especially like the sleep app that somehow knows when I fall sleep or take a nap, true genius! The initial setup was not hard at all. After set up, it took me a few days to get to know my watch…and for my watch to know me! And when it comes to cost VS. value, the GTR mini truly excels. I’m very happy with my purchase.Update: It’s now 3 months since purchasing the Amazfit GTR Mini and everything still works great! I’ve never had reason to contact support. Mechanically, the watch itself is outstanding. And the apps, from steps to heart rate to blood oxygen to stress monitoring all perform as advertised. My old Fitbit Sense had real issues about disconnecting from bluetooth which was very annoying. Can’t remember how many times I had to perform Factory Resets. My GTR Mini is so much better in staying connected to bluetooth. And, if I do happen to leave my cellphone behind at home, the GTR Mini easily reconnects to my cellphone’s Bluetooth when I get back. BEST OF ALL: I’m still getting a solid 8 days between charges with the GTR Mini as opposed to the 4 days between charges with my old Fitbit Sense…and I still have about 28 to 29 percent battery left before charging. In closing, I would not hestitate in buying another Amazfit smartwatch. That’s my story (and I’m sticking to it)!UPDATE: 02/22/24Still haven’t had any issues with the watch, none whatsoever. The watch’s battery is now at 44% after 7 days of usage. I should add that I don’t fuss with the watch as much as I use to when it was new. So the time between charging is very much dependent on the owner’s fussing (with the watch) and the apps selected. Some apps use more battery, especially the apps that run all day. Furthermore, the watch’s bluetooth connection to my Android phone is far better than my old Fitbit Sense. And, when I don’t have my phone with me (which is most of the time) and the watch disconnects from the phone’s bluetooth, it always reconnects when I get back near my phone. As far as I can tell, it looks like the watch and phone stay connected for around 30 feet (dependent on what’s in between…walls, concrete, metal)BTW, I purchased a plastic and glass screen protector fits perfectly snug over the watch and is available on Amazon. This cover is OEM and the screen protector is excellent and completely eliminates any possible scratches on the watch’s screen and its case. And the screen protectors (2 in a box) are very inexpensive.

I upgraded my Android phone and could no longer use my existing Samsung smartwatch. My #1 objective was to get vibrating alerts on my smartwatch, and this does the trick nicely. The watch is also physically really, really nice. The round and glossy face is very classy. I also love the fact that I am able to use many free watch faces. There are numerous other functions built in like GPS tracking, sleep monitoring, pedometer, heart rate, but I do not use them. It’s nice to know that they’re there if I choose to use them. Also, the battery life is fantastic with my usage (I turn the watch off when I am not using it.) In summary, for the limited manner in which I use this watch, it looks lovely and does the job. It’s priced well and has more than exceeded my expectations.

Have been putting this through some abuse now, and this is what I have to say:HR is in line with other monitors I’ve tried. Same with o2 sat. Sleep tracker can be glitchy for me being on an overnight schedule; it doesn’t like to recognize my normal sleep sessions and counts them as a nap. I guess that’s something to do with their algorithm and when you go to sleep past a certain time. For me, I’m more concerned with the overall amount of time I was asleep rather than all the other metrics. If it shows I had an 8-hour “nap” because I went to bed too late and I wake up feeling rested, it’s enough to see that sleep duration (I’m really bad about keeping track of when/what time I fall asleep)Was honestly shocked at how accurate the activity and resting calories burned trackers have been; they fall directly in line with how much weight I’ve been losing vs my caloric deficit through this cut. The few workout modes I use (strength training, indoor cycling, outdoor running) all seem to work well enough, and it’s interesting looking at the metrics sheets the watch and app come up with for the workouts. Is it 100% on point? Most likely not. Is it close enough to have an idea of how I’m pushing myself through my workouts? AbsolutelyIt shows texts notifications, but not WhatsApp notifications. It doesn’t get the Do Not Disturb memo from my phone and lets texts through, unless going into the watch’s settings and turning on the watch’s Do Not Disturb. Swipe controls can feel a little sluggish, and water streams from a shower head can manipulate the screen. Slightly annoying, but nothing I can’t ignore/get past.GPS tracking has been accurate for runs through my suburban neighborhood, though haven’t tried it outside of this smallish area yet. As far as battery life and charge speed: both have been absolutely phenomenal (Recent run went from 100% to 39% over 6 days and took maybe 30-40 minutes to come up to 100%). Build quality on it is decent. Not the fanciest, but it definitely doesn’t feel like something cheap.Overall, for the $120 I spent on it, I was actually impressed. Was really just looking to snag a basic watch and fitness tracker combo, but this surpassed the expectations I had. Yeah, there are things that could be better with it, but for the price point, I’m happy with what it can do.

I have only had this for a few hours and will come back and do a more thorough update in a few days. The watch charged quickly. It was one of the most exquisitely packaged watches I have ordered. Set up was also one of the easiest I have attempted. I am not a tech person so the fact that most of the work was done for me by scanning a code was a relief. It is a bit more pricey than some of the others but I have found during my search, cheap is not always better. I have nothing but trouble with cheaper watches from inaccurate step counts and mileage, to inaccurate blood pressure. As I said, I have only had this for a few hours and I will return with a deeper review.Day two and the watch keeps disconnecting Blue Tooth and GPS. Step count is off by 200 steps. Not critical but not great. Sleep did not register at all. I disconnected several notifications yesterday and today they were back on. Not impressed with the watch.

Just started using this watch since Sunday and so far so good, on it!!! Was fairly easy to set up and use the needed app. I also was able to hook up the app to connect with Google fit, which is nice because my work has a health app we can use to get deductions on our health insurance. I also like the fact that the strap can get tucked under, so I don’t have to worry about the strap sticking out and getting caught on anything. I previously had a Fitbit versa and the strap would forever get caught on stuff or come out of the tab that holds the strap. I’m still trying to figure out the watch, like what all the icons are and such, but this definitely has more than my Fitbit versa had! And I have used it for workouts and seams to connect pretty easy and accurately.

I have been through 4 smart watches already, the galaxy 6 classic and regular 6, and 2 from here on Amazon. They were either massively big on my tiny wrist, or not accurate WHAT so ever. The apps used with them were also garbage and didn’t track well. But this watch (GTR mini) and the Zepp app are FANTASTIC! Easy to set up in the app and a million watch faces to choose from. So far my step and sleep tracking are SPOT on, and I’m getting all my notifications on my watch from my phone. I’m still playing with the rest, but really all I needed were those 2 and notifications so I didn’t always have to have my phone in my hand. BUY IT you won’t regret it! I’m so happy FINALLY

This watch underreports BPM readings once you get into the higher ranges. My pressure was lower than normal, but my BPM was about 170. The watch recorded 64-99 depending on the snapshot, and even after I set the watch to continuously monitor BPM the issue persisted. This means calories burned is also underreported.Update:I have read that most smartwatches underreport BPM for a time leading up to and during the beginning of strenuous activity. Turning on a workout mode seems to help. Compared to others, this watch does not have a bad BPM sensor. The sleep monitor is fantastic. The app rates your sleep quality using REM, deep sleep, regularity (consistency in timing), and time asleep. I’ve used it to greatly improve my sleep.

WOW. I’m a huge fan of the Amazfit brand. I own the T-Rex Pro and got the GTR Mini for my wife for Christmas. She’s been in love ever since. Having owned an Apple watch, which she stopped charging and wearing due to it’s 16 hour battery life, this really made an impact on her. Lasting nearly two weeks on a charge, it’s a game changer. People often grossly underestimate the importance of battery life with wearable tech. When it’s something you rely on daily for fitness, time, notifications, weather, and other features, battery life is the most important feature. With an Apple watch, needing to charge the watch every single night is incredibly inconvenient and taxing. Letting it go and forgetting to charge, well then you are either waiting for it to charge before you sleep, or letting a night go by without tracking your sleep. This watch lacks a few high-end features, such as no voice calls, no typing responses to texts, or voice to text. You can however program and select several per-determined responses. Also you can reply with emojis. All I know is this is the first wearable fitness tech my wife has kept on since she got it nearly a month ago. That at it’s stylish and beautiful!
