    I bought this ‘UGREEN USB C to Ethernet Adapter 2.5G, Ethernet Adapter’ to try and add a Ubiquiti ER-X to my LAN, but I just can’t get the ER-X to work, regardless of what I do. I think I broke the ER-X when I first got it.Anyways, I added the ‘UGREEN USB C to ethernet Adapter’ into my network as a USB 10/100/1G/2.5G LAN adapter and it works great. I have an M! Mac Mini that already has an RJ-45 1G Ethernet port, but I bet anyone with a laptop that doesn’t have an ethernet RJ-45 port would love one of these babies.

    I bought two of these because I wanted to run them with a cross-over cable with my other computer to transfer files faster, I don’t have and PCIE lanes available on either computer. It took some time, it just kept running at Gigabit speeds even though it was showing 2.5. After some tweeking the settings and turning off efficiency, and power saving settings. It delivers full 2.5 on Send and receive…. now I just gotta make a longer cable🙂. Down a start because it’s not set to full by default, but that’s alright. Over all, it works

    UGREEN always delivers quality products and this one is no exception. I use it mainly on the go when traveling to hook up to my gaming laptop and it works great. It’s also helpful when troubleshooting any LAN issues at home.I was able to plug it directly from my fiber ONT to troubleshoot an issue with my switch. Saved me $100 from having the ISP tech come out just to tell me it was my equipment.

    I did some speed testing from my Macbook Air and it gave me speeds close to the full 2.5 Gbps (close to ~2.25 Gbps). I suspect the rest is due to my own home network conditions or the devices I used for testing. I use iPerf software which can be finicky sometimes. Still, if you need well over a Gigabit this can do the job.

    I have this for my laptop for on the go ethernet port and it doesn’t disappoint. Works at full 2.5gb on my work’s 10gb network. Can’t complain as it’s plug and play. Recommend to just have it around when you need LAN access if your laptop doesn’t have a LAN port. Great product and small to carry around.
