I’m pleased with the ease of pairing (follow the instructions). It worked on the first try. Reasonably priced. Glad I went ahead and got one.

I ordered this device for the high school soccer concessions sales. It was amazingly easy to set up using the simple instructions that came in the box. The device requires the firmware to be updated as soon as you connect to it via Bluetooth. In addition, make sure your iphone–>settings–>square–>Local Network is enabled before you start. It’s easy to remediate but easier if you do it upfront before starting. As soon as I tested it successfully, I ordered another one for the team. I also ordered a Belkin USB-C device for faster charging. Belkin makes a great device. However, make sure you get the USB-A to USB-C charger. I ordered the wrong one the first time because I couldn’t see both ends of the charging cable that came with the Square contactless reader. Fortunately, I needed another one of those for our personal use so all turned out well anyway. 🙂

My 2nd generation square chip readers have been working phenomenal! I’ve had it for a few months now and it has been a great benefit to the business! There few things to learn about operating it but it’s very straight forward!

My old square started to have problems. Of course after I bought this one the old one started working. Anyway back to my purchase. This square is a great size for travel and super easy to use. Holds a charge all day. I do craft shows and have not had any problem using it for a solid 9 hours. The size is convenient at about 2″ square by 1/4″ thick. I am glad I purchased it.

I was debating about getting another 1st generation because of the price, but when I saw the 2nd generation on sale for a little bit cheaper than the older model, there was no question. I needed a second reader to be able to be at 2 events the same weekend in late April, so the sale price really sold me to get it right away. It was easy to set up and love the fact that the reader is constantly connected (as advertised), unlike the older model. I normally would’ve gotten my reader straight from Square, so hopefully this one is as good as my old one. I’ll update this review if anything happens.

Can’t say enough good things about this product. Makes my life so much easier. The tap feature works almost everytime. But cards can be inserted when the tap doesn’t work.
