Have had this monitor for about two weeks now and here are what I like about it.Super smooth gameplay: The 180Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time make for an incredibly smooth gaming experience. I play a lot a FPS and this monitor and keep up!Gorgeous visuals: The QHD resolution and IPS panel produce stunning visuals with sharp details and vibrant colors. I was particularly impressed by the color accuracy, which is perfect for both gaming and creative work.Adaptive sync: The AW2724DM supports both AMD FreeSync Premium Pro; NVIDIA G-SYNC, and VESA which means that you can use this the PS5 and enable Variable Refresh Rate at 2k resolution.Comfortable design: The ergonomic stand allows you to adjust the tilt, swivel, and height of the monitor to find the perfect viewing position. The stand is also very sturdy, so there’s no need to worry about the monitor wobbling.Stylish design: The AW2724DM has a sleek and stylish design that will look great on any gaming desk. The AlienFX lighting adds a touch of personality and can be customized to your liking.Haven’t come across any negatives so far as the panel tested perfect and no dead pixels.Overall, I’m very impressed with the Dell Alienware AW2724DM. It’s a great gaming monitor that offers excellent performance, stunning visuals, and a comfortable design. If you’re looking for a gaming monitor that will take your gaming experience to the next level, the AW2724DM is definitely worth it.

I bought this monitor awhile back and has served me well so far. I bought this monitor since I play competitive games such as Fortnite and MW3. Before this monitor I had a 1440p 165hz panel. I then bought a higher-end pc, requiring me to buy this to push more frames. With that being said, this thing loves pulling watts right out of my wall. Even with the wattage draw, the physical monitor itself doesn’t seem to get very warm. The picture is good for what it is. The color range is alright. But again, the main draw to this monitor is the refresh rate. I found a lazy pixel about a month and a half into owning it, but I only see it when I’m trying to look for it. All in all, this monitor is a good choice for anyone looking into competitive gaming, especially when it goes on sale.

Amazing 1440P monitor. It is the 1st monitor I have ever owned that had good color calibration right out of the box. I have been gaming on it for a couple of months now and have had zero problems

This monitor does not disappoint. Paired with the RX 7800 XT the performance is great and the colors are vivid and crisp.

I purchased this monitor a year ago after extensive research. I was looking explicitly for a monitor that had an IPS panel, a fast response rate, a high refresh rate, was QHD, and offered a great warranty. The Alienware offers all of these, at a great price.I’ll list the pros and cons that I’ve experienced over the year of owning this product.Pros:- IPS w/ 98% SDR/HDR color calibration out of the box- High SDR Brightness- 280hz Refresh Rate- 0.5ms Response Rate w/ overdrive- QHD (2560×1440)- Build quality is top tier- Zero ghosting- No flicker- Freesync Pro works with AMD/Nvidia cards- 3 year warranty out of the box from AlienwareCons:- Backlight Bleed is noticeable on black wallpapers or in very dark scenes, probably one of the worst I’ve seen. This is common with this unit if you search it. For me, it’s not a massive issue because I only use it for bright FPS titles. I have an ultrawide OLED for other games.- Alienware UI is lacking compared to competitors. The UI feels like there’s a lot, but there’s actually not. This is especially true if you try HDR mode, where the panel will lock the color, and brightness settings. Why this is makes no sense to me.- No HDMI 2.1. This doesn’t really matter since it’s not a 4k monitor, but I would assume it would have one since the monitor was released after the currentgen consoles. At the price, it surprised me. I use DP 1.4 either way, so it wasn’t an issue for me.- No speakers. This personally doesn’t affect me as I use either headphones or a surround system. However, it technically is a con.- Mediocre HDR performance. The HDR performance is mediocre at best. The gray uniformity isn’t the greatest because the backlight bleed, which takes away from the highs and lows HDR tries to accomplish. The HDR brightness is also technically below standard. I would recommend SDR, which looks very good anyway.- Semigloss screen coating. The coating appears more matte than semigloss to me, but it’s not bad per say. It’s still good enough to not wash out the colors like some matte coatings, but I definitely feel like calling this semigloss isn’t accurate. I would rather call it lightly matte.Conclusion:- This monitor excels at being a top tier choice at competitive fast moving games like CoD, CS2, Overwatch, Etc. However, it does not excel at games that would be better played on an OLED or MiniLED panel. I own this monitor strictly for FPS titles, and have the OLED AW3423DWF for other games. My use for this monitor is fantastic, and I would definitely recommend it for anyone who plays fast paced competitive games and can push the frames to utilize the refresh rate.

This is a newer model, and because of that I can’t speak for its longevity, but I am hoping with the Dell/Alienware brand behind it, that it will last a very long time.It was ultimately down to this monitor and the LG 27GP850-b. That monitor is probably the most popular gaming monitor at this price point, and it was between that, and the new AW2724dm, which this review is for.In my opinion, this new Alienware takes the crown from the LG. It was released a few months ago, and you get more for your money. Both are very similar, the two biggest differences is that this monitor has certified HDR600, whereas the LG has only HDR400, which is very lackluster, and personally I wouldn’t even consider using it while gaming. The HDR600 definitely makes things look better in all the games I play, and gets rid of IPS darkness in games like COD, which you will have without HDR activated. The HDR600 does not make games look washed out like the LG does with HDR400. For movies, HDR600 is not the best on paper, but I only use it for games, so I am not going to give an opinion on that. The one thing the LG has that this monitor does not, is BFI, which is suppose to help with motion blur. For an IPS panel, the Alienware already has near perfect motion blur, better than the LG according to most reviews. Also BFI is a feature in gaming that I find useless, because you cannot have VRR(gsync/freesync) on at the same time as BFI. VRR is essential because it will cut down input lag by half in some cases, when compared to using Vsync. In every game I’ve played, the VRR is like having Vsync completely off(way less input lag), with all of the benefits of having it on(no screen tearing). This monitor also has very accurate colors out of the box, according to every review I read. Unless you do professional work, you will not have to mess with the colors. Simply set the color profile to “colorspace”. Every other color profile is very “cool”, with a bluish tint out of the box, including the one that is set by default, so be sure to change this right away. You don’t really have to worry about this in HDR mode, all of the profiles look fine, just while in SDR.Before buying this monitor, a few reviews mentioned fuzzy text, which made me very hesitant, however with amazons return policy I went ahead with the purchase. I am glad I did, I have not seen clearer text on any other 1440p monitor. Both the black and grey uniformity are also near perfect for an IPS monitor, and no noticble IPS glow at all. Maybe I just got really lucky in the “panel lottery”, but I am beyond happy with this monitor.

If you are like me coming from a 1080p high refresh rate monitor to this for specifically shooter games. You will not regret this purchase.+Bright vibrant colors.+180hz refresh with a in-menu option of monitor.+No more ghosting, ULTRA smooth!! I could not believe my old BenQ had so MUCH ghosting and blur.+1440p Easier to see enemies at very long distances in modern shooter games.+Windows and specific game HDR compatible.+G-sync while it said it was not supported by Windows, it enabled and seems to be working great.+Handles text reading @ 180hz just fine. Slight slight very slight blur.I wanted to buy a $900 Alienware OLED model, but I choose this to save money. I could not be happier. You could of told me it was a OLED, and I would of believed it.

Hey folks, just a quick day two review of the Alienware AW2723DF Gaming Monitor – 27-inch (2560 x 1440) 240Hz Display and right out of the box, it’s a miracle; no dead pixels, no light bleed that appears to be egregiously bad, and no other issues that I have noticed after a night of playing Destiny 2, Cyberpunk 2077, Robocop: Rogue City, and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.I don’t often go for amazon warehouse deals on tech as I have had some odd experiences in the past, but when I saw this monitor being marked down from $599.99 plus tax for $460.84 in “like new” condition, I took a chance once again.Anything can happen in a month or two, but I will be making this monitor my daily driver for the time being; I was previously gaming at 1080p on a ViewSonic Elite true G-Sync module monitor that is 360hz. By comparison to this, there is no noticeable jitters or screen tearing that I can see, but the picture doesn’t appear to be as smooth as the ViewSonic. To that end, the trade for gaming at 1440p is great and I have that other monitor to go back to at any point that this one decides to have an issue up to when I am allowed to return it here on Amazon. All in all, super stoked that it is having zero issues!
