Jonathan Bass, CEO of PTM Images, Innova Luxury Group, and direct-to-consumer furniture brand Whom Home, announces his company’s participation in the Winter edition of the biannual Expo Mueble Internacional (International Furniture Expo) in Guadalajara, Mexico, Feb. 16 – 19.

During the Mexico show dates, Bass will exhibit furnishings under the banner ‘Home & Body’ in the Salon Guadalajara hall, space 2031, including the pre-market date, Feb. 15.

“The Guadalajara trade show gives us an opportunity to showcase the full range of our capabilities for producing mid- and higher end upholstery, case goods and accent items,” says Bass, who expects U.S. furnishings buyers to attend the Mexico event in search of quick ship products.

Last fall, Bass, who is based in Los Angeles and operates finishing facilities here, announced an expansion to the company’s state-of-the-art Mexico-based furnishings factory in response to global supply chain challenges. Located in Sonora, Mexico, the factory footprint was doubled to 400,000 square feet for supplying its U.S. customers.

With his investment in proximity manufacturing, Bass is committed to achieving pre-pandemic delivery lead times for U.S. buyers. “The industry needs to get back to four to six week deliveries in order to retain profits and retail viability,” he says. “Sourcing from reliable manufacturers that are closer to the point of purchase is the first step to getting there.”
