The Legion of Chaos are by far the most varied and customisable faction in Total War Warhammer 3.  And this level of unique expression extends beyond the unit choice, it includes the faction’s legendary lord as well! The Daemon Prince can be customised to your heart’s content, allowing you to tailor not only your faction to your specific playstyle, but its leader too.

Join us as we walk you through Daemon Prince customisation in Total War Warhammer 3.

Total War Warhammer 3: Daemonic Glory

While playing as the Legion of Chaos, the Daemonic Glory tab can be accessed from the campaign map. This will take the player to a menu full of unlockable body parts used to customise the Daemon Prince. There is a stunning amount of visual variety on show here. All manner of limbs, heads, weapons and more can be applied in totally unique combinations.

Applying these body parts to the Daemon Prince causes your legendary lord to change, both aesthetically and mechanically. Passive abilities and stat buffs are granted, including access to the skills of other Chaos factions.

Earning Glory for the Daemon Prince

While players may want full access to this Daemonic customisation as quickly as possible, it isn’t as simple as having all options available right from the start. They must first be earned through accumulating Daemonic Glory; a resource mechanic unique to the Legion of Chaos. Glory is your faction-specific mechanic, and as such it has many uses. It can be used for recruitment and upgrades, as well as unlocking body parts for the Daemon Prince. It is up to you whether to spread it out evenly or invest as quickly as possible in making the best Daemon Prince you can!

Thankfully, while Glory has many uses, there are equally many ways to accumulate this resource. Any successful battle will grant you Daemonic Glory, as will completing events and quests.

There are also distinct types of Daemonic Glory. Each Chaos God has their own specific type of Glory, and their own category of body parts for the Daemon Prince. When a battle is complete, you can choose to dedicate the victory to any of the four Gods. Or instead to Chaos Undivided. You can do the same with captured settlements, dedicating them to God of your choice, and receiving their associated Glory as a reward.

The path of Chaos

It is up the player how much devotion they show to specific Chaos gods. You go all-in on a God, dedicating Glory to them and locking yourself in to that path. In return, you will gain their more powerful items at a faster rate and receive access to some of their most powerful units. Or you can go for the middle ground and stick with Chaos Undivided, spreading Glory around equally and gaining access to powerful units from across all factions, while being locked out of the strongest available.

Whichever path you choose to walk, your Daemon Prince is sure to be a force to be reckoned with!
