If you’re reading this, you probably own a Suunto Core watch, and your original strap is already cracked, leaving your costly watch to gather dust in a drawer or box somewhere.Sure, we all expect watch straps to break or wear out, they are meant to be a replaceable item. If you can get more than a year out of a new Core strap, you’re in pretty good shape. It’s just a shame that Suunto charges as much as they do for replacement OEM watch straps — by the time you buy a few, you could have practically bought a brand new watch.The other reviewers here are spot-on; this aftermarket replacement strap is slightly different than what shipped with your Suunto. As in, the buckle is a similar design, but not quite exact. And that’s really where the differences seem to end. You could easily mistake this for an original band, and for all we know, these come out of the same exact factory in China. You have the same ridged straps, the same two excess strap retainers, and this replacement kit even comes with two mini screwdrivers and a set of screws for each side — what a nice touch.I was a little apprehensive buying an aftermarket strap, but this was totally worth it, and is an exact fit. Your watch deserves to be with you on new adventures! (If anything changes long-term, I’ll come back and update this review…)
