The media could not be loaded. Let me preface this by saying I chose this one after buying, trying, and then returning the Apple Watch, the Samsung Galaxy Watch, FitBit, and a couple of other lesser-known brands. I actually went with a Garmin Venu Sq. 2 first and I loved it, at which point I bought this one due to the beautiful, large AMOLED screen and because it runs on the sand base software. That’s a GOOD thing, so let me elaborate. This is by far the most accurate watch for counting the total calories burned. The Apple Watch simply did not let me view the TOTAL calories burned, as it would show your estimated basal metabolic rate and then stack the active expenditure in a separate category, so you’d have to go back and forth to view each one and then add it up. The Galaxy watch suffered a similar problem, but it was not that accurate at measuring steps, which would directly affect the caloric expenditure. The FitBit was just WILDLY inaccurate and once told me I burned 5000+ calories in a day because I had a panic episode after something bad happened in my personal life, and so that night it registered me as having burned thousands of calories just laying in bed.The Garmin, however, did everything right (accurate steps that match the ones my iPhone said to within 5%, heart rate matched a professional blood pressure cuff, and the calorie counter tracked my weight loss exactly). It is extremely useful when counting calories where a slim margin is needed, such as aiming to lose 750 calories a day to lose 1.5 lbs/week. It it’s off by just 100 or 200, that’s already a half pound off, or 26 pounds a year.It is extremely important to me that it gets it right. It also has a ton of features, but I don’t use them honestly. It’s very easy to connect and set up, too. The price is subjectively fair but objectively it is quite high. Regardless, I am very pleased with it. The battery life is EXCELLENT if you turn Bluetooth and WiFi off, too. 5/5 all around!

I have purchased two of these. The smaller rose gold version for my wife and this one for me. They do everything we need and last a week or more between charges. There are specialized watches that may suit other users more but this is a great overall smart watch. The pairing and functionality with Google Pixel phones is easy. Answer and ignore phonecalls, text and email notifications and all customizable. The voice to text and other phone commands work well. Activity tracking for anyone on a health journey is easy to use. Read the features list to understand functionality before making a decision. Not having to charge them daily is a huge plus for us. We are both happy with these watches and would recommend them.

I was looking for a fitness tracker to replace my fitbit. I am a swim instructor so I wanted something waterproof I would not have to take off in the pool. This watch goes above and beyond what I was hoping for. It is very beautiful. The band is silicon so I don’t have to wait for it to dry. All the features of the watch are top notch, it has everything I need to track and more. I thought you couldn’t change the face of the watch and then found the app. I cannot believe how customizable this thing is. I was able to put everything I wanted on the home screen. The battery is INCREDIBLE. Lasts forever. Very impressed and so happy with my purchase.

Upgraded from my old Fenix 3 watch. And really love this so far. Battery life is good and heart rate, stress, and sleep monitors are really nice. The strength activity feature is really nice to have at the gym and the rep detection works pretty good overall. No complaints so far

I absolutely love this! I have been a Fitbit person almost since they came out years ago. Since they were acquired by Google, quality has really gone down. The latest app update was horrible, I absolutely hate the Fitbit app now, so started looking for other alternatives. This watch is great! It is so easy to set up, very fast to get it up and going, and it’s way more accurate than Fitbit. I suspected hat Fitbit was cheating me out of a lot of zone minutes in yoga, as well as in running. Where I was only getting about 11 zone minutes for power yoga on my Fitbit, I now get 40 on Garmin, which made a lot more sense to me. Heart rate is way more accurate on the Garmin. I know when my heart rate is up, and Fitbit was missing it. I also wondered what food app I was going to use (not crazy about my fitness pal) but I decided to just keep using the Fitbit app for food. It’s easy enough to subtract food calories via Fitbit from total calorie expenditure via Garmin without much fuss. I do like the Fitbit app for logging food since I’ve been using it for years and all my food is already in there. I don’t mind staying with that. Garmin also has so many different apps that you can use, it’s really great and far better than any of the Fitbits I’ve had. I also love that it’s a smart watch, I can make calls, answer the phone, reply to texts etc. on my iPhone. For text replies, I just use Siri which is easily accessible by pressing the side button. Overall, the Garmin is much more accurate, easy to use, and the app is really nice looking and you get a ton of stats. It’s also easy to read and has a black background so it’s not glaring like the Fitbit app is now. Lots of different meditations, a ton of workouts that you don’t have to subscribe to get. So glad I decided to go with Garmin, highly recommend!

I bought this new clock. It works really good and gives a lot of information about your excersise and health. The only thing is that I prefer big clocks and this one is not so big but it is still a great option!

My previous watch was a Vivoactive 3 Music and I was generally satisfied with the functionality of the watch and relatively long battery life but the screen started to bore me and it felt like it was time for an update. After reading/watching numerous reviews for the Vivoactive 5 and the Venu 3, I finally settled on the slightly more expensive Venu 3. The screen feels light-years better than my old VA3 and I really appreciated the responsiveness. Being able to answer calls on my watch was cool, but as I expected, I never use that function. Same can be said about the ECG function. My heart rate was often too low to get a reading when I was resting, but it was cool to see it work. As advertised, the heart rate and sleep monitoring are far more advanced than my VA3. I was previously using a chest HR monitor, but no longer feel the need to use it with my Venu 3. I’ve logged many miles of running with the watch, primarily on the treadmill and despite 30-60 minute runs each day, it generally lasts for about a week before needing a recharge. Simple things like the dark mode during my programmed sleeping hours were a pleasant surprise. Only minor annoyance has been the default morning report which I have to figure out how to dismiss before I can start recording my morning run, but that is mostly me being too lazy to turn off the report entirely. Overall, I’m very pleased with this watch and look forward to wearing it for years to come

This watch lets you track many sport activities, which for me are running, cycling, skiing, hiking, using an elliptical machine, and golf. Note – it is not set up for tri- or duathlons, which require tracking multiple activities together in a single experience. The AMOLED display is highly visible, day and night, and using the touchscreen is very easy. I replaced an older Forerunner 735XT watch, and this new one just just blows it away, not only in functionality and readability, but also in user friendliness. Setup was easy, with the Garmin Connect app pre-loading all the personal statistics from the old watch. It even loaded up contact information so I could make calls and send texts right away. I highly recommend this watch to anyone but a triathlete.

Been diagnosed with AFlutter/AFIB so was looking for a watch that would do O2, ECG and monitor heart + do all the other things a Garmin does well. Tried the Samsung Classic watch but recharging daily was not my thing as I bought to monitor and taking off wrist each day is a pain. Both Garmin and Samsung pair well with my old Android phone (S10+). But not having to charge for more than a week is a game changer for me. Like the newer Garmin approach to menus and option selection and watch face options are pretty neat. Display is bright and clear. I use alarms and timer daily and often – really handy.

Really glad i came back to Garmin, like 95% glad. Discontinued Fitbit as quality and reliability of the clip in bands was an issue. The Garmin has no such issues. Garmin Connect apps has features i like that don’t show on Fitbit, and vice versa.Basically, i find the Garmin watch control more intuitive and i trust it more.
