Update: I’ve now owned this watch for 3 months. Still doing great. Not a scratch on the face, and I’m pretty rough on my watches. Battery holding strong. I’ve become more attached to this watch than I ever was ti my Apple Watch. Very happy with my purchase.Original review: Let me preface my review with the fact that I’m a iPhone user. I’ve had most revisions of the Apple Watch and I’m not a fan. I think they’re blocky, poorly designed and not masculine. So I’ve tried many different watches over the years with varying success. I loved the Samsung watches until they became incompatible with IOS but their battery life was terrible. So I decided to give this watch a try. I was considering buying their more expensive military fitness watch for $400, but after comparing features and aesthetics, it was hard to justify the extra expense. So let’s talk about this watch.First, it’s shockingly light and has a really big, bright watch face. It’s also very thin. It fits very comfortably on my wrist. I wear my watch upside down so the fact is on the underside of my wrist. As such, the face is much more prone to scratches. I’m happy to report that after more than a month of use, not a single scratch is visible. The watch has a protruding dial button as well as a recessed button, in addition to the touchscreen. I rarely use the recessed button but the crown button is handy, but I wish it didn’t protrude as much. Sometimes when I curl my wrist, it powered off the watch. I’ve made small adjustments when I wear it, and it seeks to have resolved that issue. The watch face is very bright and incredibly responsive. The battery is astonishing. Ilas you set up the watch, it lets you know if you’re selecting an option that drains the battery faster. I’m a power user, so I pretty much have everything maxed out and I still get about 6 days battery life.I was also concerned, as per reviews, that the readings are inaccurate, especially the sleep readings. I’ve found them to be quite accurate. I spent two days with my Apple Watch on one wrist and this watch on the other. The readings were within 1% consistently. I’m pretty sure they’ve resolved many of the issues via upgrades to the watch. I feel this watch gives me much more usable information than does the Apple Watch and I really like the companion app. It is very intuitive and works well with my phone.Overall I’m very happy with this watch. Not only is it a steal for the price, I would choose this over the Apple Watch. Be awareThat you cannot receive iMessages on this device. It’s a restriction from Apple and not the fault of this watch. As long as you connect this via Bluetooth, you can carry out most functions between your phone and watch that you would normally expect. My only complaint is I purchased the version with brown Watch band. The band is terrible and cheap. A poor choice considering how nice the watch is. Fortunately there are several cheap alternatives in Amazon so I won’t complain too much. Just be aware you’ll want a different band. You really won’t go wrong buying this watch for features, quality, functionality, aesthetics and price.

I suffered from bradycardia and required a pacemaker insertion, and was unable to play my customary daily round of golf for 6 weeks after my operation, so began walking 20,000 steps daily as an alternative form of exercise. I was eager to track my heart rate with the pacemaker, and to track my step count. I bought and returned 3 other watches on Amazon, as each one failed me one way or another. Honestly, I was so disappointed with having to do that I was reluctant to try again, but I’m awfully glad I did. It tracks heart rate and step count flawlessly, has an amazing battery charge life, and is the best looking of the four watches I tried. I have nothing but good things to say about this product, and so wish I’d purchased it first, but at least I purchased it last. Thank you Amazon!!

I bought this as a gift for my wife who doesn’t generally like smart watches or gadgets in general. I’m not sure that she’s really using it for much more than a watch, but she wears it everyday. It is a little big on her wrist, but she’s always like big chunky watches so I think she likes the style. I think compared to my Gramin 965, it may look a little more elegant and not quite as much like a smart watch or fitness tracker.I played around with it a little bit and the interface and feature set compare pretty well with my much pricier Garmin watch. I like having all the extra data and analysis I get with my Garmin, but for my wife who doesn’t run that often, it seems more than adequate.Overall I think it’s a good value.

I was looking to replace my Garmin VivoActive 3. It was a good watch, but a bit sluggish and the battery life had begun to fade, so time to move on. Looked at the current Garmin options and they either seemed like there wasn’t much change or were super expensive.Friend told me to consider Amazfit. Wasn’t quite sure what to expect, but decided to get this as I wanted to find a watch with smartwatch functions and decent battery life. BETTER THAN EXPECTED!! I got the gray band with black case was surprised how useful the band was. I wanted a black case, so this was my only option. I was able to link the Zepp app with Strava and Google Fit.With everything, there are always pros and cons. So to start with the bad:CONS: Zepp app isn’t’ bad, but it’s a bit confusing. See below for some tips.Setup: Be prepared to spend a bit of time setting up the watch to your liking.Custom charging station. But you charge so infrequently, its not a big deal but it’s the same with Garmin, Fitbit, and Apple.PROS: The battery life is insane. It’s a bigger watch so I’m sure the battery is bigger, but I’ve worn it for 4 days now and am at 72%. And that’s even after I’ve gone on two 6mi runs with GPS which is a battery hog.GPS: Picks up within seconds and kept the signal without interruption.Display: Big and good resolution. If running in sunlight, may need to turn up brightness though. The touch screen is very responsive and no lag. Puts my Vivoactive 3 to shame.Wrist tilt: My Garmin Vivoactive was hit or miss if the screen would turn on with my wrist tilt. The GTS nails it.Zepp AppThis app is necessary to communicate with your phone and maximize its smart watch functionality. It is also a pretty robust fitness app. The app is pretty thorough, but the layout isn’t the most intuitive so expect to spend a little bit of time, especially in the beginning going through all the menus. It’s similar to the Garmin app, but again, a bit less intuitive. If you want to link Strava, Google fit, etc, tap on “PROFILE” right lower corner, then ADD ACCOUNTS.A few tips:In the upper left is the watch icon. Tap on this to access the watch specific menu. Tap on NOTIFICATIONS AND REMINDERS to customize what you want to be alerted about. I turned off the standing and goal notifications and activated the app alerts for my important apps as well as incoming SMSWATCH FACES is self explanatory. You can buy new ones, but I found the preinstalled ones to be just fine. The APP STORE is meh. No apps such as Spotify, banking, etc. But I don’t use my watch to buy things anyway.WATCH SETTINGS: I customized my LONG PRESS UPPER BUTTON to do the remote camera shutter, but you can pick what you want from a long list. I made my PRESS LOWER BUTTON access workout. I turned off MORNING UPDATES as I didn’t find this useful. You can also change order or add/remove options on your watch using the EDIT QUICK ACCESS APPS and the EDIT CONTROL CENTER options. I got rid of a lot of stuff and moved up things like music control, and compass. You can also adjust your voice control options to suit your liking. I don’t personally use this so I turned it off. APP LIST MANAGEMENT – adjust as you like. Can change order or remove items by sliding them.SHORTCUT CARDS – similar.APP SETTINGS – self explanatory. Under the PHONE option, you can MANAGE SMS REPLIES and can customize them. Useful if driving for example and you need to send off a quick prewritten reply. MUSIC you can actually store some music on the watch. I access it on my phone, but if you are someone who wants to have music and leave your phone behind, this can be useful to bring some tunes with you.ALEXA. It has Alexa. Pretty nice. Then the usual ‘FIND WATCH” options. I turned off discoverable and heart rate sharing. Not sure why you’d want someone else to access this, but perhaps if you have a personal trainer?Under LAB, you can set up your remote camera shutter options. Unfortunately, you can’t see what your viewfinder is seeing through your watch. You can only fire the shutter.

This Android smartwatch does it all for a fraction of the price of the big-name watches. The battery runs easily 24 hrs, and under low load (just time, steps, etc.) it goes a full week between charges. It does all the stuff that fitness watches do (heart rate, oxygen level, sleep and other cycles, etc.). Plus GPS interface and links to your phone. Waterproof of course, and the round form factor looks good and comes with a surprisingly comfortable, quick-release silicon band in standart 21mm. I am blown away at the value of this watch.CONS: The downsides are few and small. The Zeff (formerly AmazFit) library of watchfaces is limited to dozens rather than hundreds (but who needs hundreds?), and likewise for third-party apps. The watch is also a music player, but the sound through watch speakers is tinny. But who plays music on their watch? It’s a slight hassle to change the phone’s bluetooth pairing from watch to earbuds and back, but that’s a problem with Bluetooth technology, not the watch.PROS: I already noted the incredible value for a feature-laden Android watch, but I admit I don’t use all its features. I use it for time (Yes, time!) and I’m very pleased with the fast response when I roll my wrist up to look at the watch. The watchface lights up within about 1 second, and that’s not even the most sensitive setting. I use it for alarms and reminders, and I use the pedometer. I like getting buzzed when I have a voice or text, since I often missed notifications when the phone was in my pocket. No more. I don’t use it for Dick-Tracy phone conversations, which seems weird and unnecessary. I put a free compass app on it which looks great on the round watchface and is useful when walking downtown. I don’t sleep with it so can’t report on sleep functions. I also don’t use the map or search functions, since my phone does those much better. In sum, while I do not use all the features this phone offers, at the price, it does more than 100% of what I want a smartwatch to do.

14 day battery? Finds your phone? Tracks your workouts? Crown is offset for comfort? It costs much less than every day charges. Has thousands and thousands of faces. Media player, heart monitor sleep monitor stress monitor… I know I am missing a lot. But I love this watch. I do. It’s half casual half sport. I use it for work with a good screen cover for it. Easily use ⏳

I cannot say enough good things about this watch. I have owned every type of smart watch from Apple, to Samsung, to FitBit and they all pale in comparison. First, it is a fairly stylish watch and looks like a regular wrist watch versus a dorky calculator watch/mini cellphone (sorry Apple). Second, it’s health/fitness featifar surpase the other brands in functionality and accuracy. Third, it is a fraction of the price of all of the other players and is easily worth 4x what you pay for it. Forth and best of all, is the amazing battery life. The fact that I can go weeks without charging and still get amazing functionality is almost unheard of. Why can’t the other players in this space even last a few days when this watch can go weeks?Admittedly, I had low expectations at the price point for this watch, but is seriously unbelievable. If you’re considering it, don’t walk, RUN and buy one! I promise you won’t regret the purchase.

It works Great so far, it’s been 14 days today with medium to heavy use to get used to it and I still have 20% on the battery. I don’t use it to work out but all the other features I use are awesome. I wear it in the shower and in the rain and it has been great. The quick answer text feature is wonderful with the ability to edit and create preprogrammed responses. It’s just a GREAT watch.

I think the deciding factor for this watch was the battery life; I even use the always on feature and get more than a week on a charge. I can go longer than a week, but then I forget to charge – so I charge it every Sunday. There are a ton of paid watch faces, but plenty of free ones. Oh, get a screen protector – within a week, I smashed my watch, cracking the protector, but my watch is fine. The only down side is the step counter – unlike a Fitbit that counts EVERY step, the Amazfit does NOT start counting until your taken about ten steps, so it will not count all of the time on your feet, but it you are exercising, it will track it.
