I have a MacBook Air and other devices that have evolved to USB C charging. Problem is the cable that comes with the Mac is only about 6 feet. So if you’re using your laptop as, well, a laptop, reaching wall outlets can be tough. This cable is 10 feet long, very well made, flexible and does not limit charging of the Mac at all (rated at 240W throughput and I believe it). It also has a very nice rubber bundling clip that allows you to roll and retain the cable neatly. The outer cover is woven material and the plugs are over molded and sturdy feeling. I love Anker, high quality products at low prices. I was concerned with the length of these but with the nice strap keeper it’s no issue coilimg them up. There have been working great charging both my MacBook and ChromeBooks along with an Anker battery that can draw high wattage.

To charge quickly, bigger devices (like laptops) need more power. (My Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon needs a 65W charger; typical cell phone charger is 20W.) Delivery of higher watts requires heavier (thicker) wires. This cable is spec’d at 240W, which sounds like way overkill, but it’s rated to support full-speed charging for my ThinkPad, and it does so. (Lighter, thinner cables might slowly trickle-charge my laptop, but if used with a 65W charger would risk serious over-heating. Don’t do it!)Of course this cable will work fine with smaller devices (cell phone, tablet, ear buds), but it would be unnecessarily bulky for that purpose. So if you’re only charging smaller devices, it makes more sense to use a smaller cable (like Anker 100W cables).This cable quality is outstanding, very satisfied, will continue to buy only Anker cables, gladly and highly recommend to others.

This is a super heavy duty cable! I’ve been having issues with cables for years that would snap/come apart between the wire and the charging-head. This Anker cable seems to be made where that won’t be an issue. The charging times are also much faster than a basic cable.The only minor complaint I have is that it might be a little TOO stiff of a cable. Sometimes you just want it to lay flat, but you have to unwind it and somewhat bend it in place to sit where you want it to stay. It isn’t the end of the world, but sometimes that stiffness makes me worry that I am bending the cable too much.

I needed a charging cable to go with my new S24 Ultra because the old USB-C ones took 1 hour and 30 minutes to 1 hour and 45 minutes to charge. I was using an old S10+, and those chargers/cables weren’t cutting it 😞 until I got this. Now my charges never take more than an hour. I love Anker products and still love them 3 phones later!
