I’ve had good cables. I’ve had bad cables. I’ve had cables that were just so-so. This is a truly great cable that delivers on all promises; charging speed, transfer speed, and durability. One can spend a lot less but, for me, this is the cable to get.I use this cable to charge USB devices and to connect my external SSD to my main PC. Finally, I am getting consistent and full-speed potential of the SSD.I WILL be buying more of these cables.

I am connecting and charging a Surface Book 2 laptop through a USB-C hub connected to a 4K TV/monitor. I have tried 4 different hubs, 8 USB-C extension cables, 3 USB-C to USB-C cables, 3 USB-C to HDMI cables, and 3 HDMI cables. I have tested each exhaustively to figure out what does and doesn’t work.I wish I had just found this cable first!!I am going to include what I finally found did work to hopefully save you the weeks of testing, frustration, and returns that I went through. If you are looking for a way to have one clean 3ft cable (so that the hub can be behind desk) that connects to the USB-C port on your Surface Book 2 and provides charging (95 to 100w) at same or better rate than the original charger, and connects to a 4k display at 60hz, and does not cause image or sound distortions, and allows connecting other USB peripherals to the hub, here is what works (links below):- Anker Powerline II USB-C to USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 3ft – This is the KEY PIECE! I fought through so many cables that were infuriatingly problematic and inconsistent. The Anker Powerline II worked perfectly as soon as I plugged it in and has continued to do so every time. I REALLY wish I had just found it first! It would have saved me hours and hours of frustration! If you can have the hub right next to your laptop and then a bunch of cables running out from there, then this cable is not necessary, but I needed a clean look with one cable from the laptop and then all the mess behind the monitor and desk.- WBPINE USB C Hub HDMI 5-in-1 Multiport Adapter or Koopman Dex Station USB Type C 5-in-1 Hub – These appear to be the same product and manufacturer. I like the black case and green power light of the WBPINE. Koopman offers a better warranty. Both worked the same. One of the great things about these hubs—besides the rarity of supporting 4k at 60hz and 100w power—is that the 6in cable to connect to the laptop is removable. That makes it both more durable and possible to replace the short cable with a longer one rather than having to use as USB-C extension (male-to-female) cable which I found to be more problematic and harder to find with the right specs.- Wacom 100w Power Adapter with 6ft “Mickey Mouse” AC Power Cord – This is expensive for just a power adapter. At the time, it was the only good option I could find to support 100w. Hopefully more 100w power adapters will come available at lower cost.- High Speed HDMI Cable – I have tested several. They have all worked. I could not see any difference between 4ft and 6ft, but 4ft fit my application better. Just make sure it is rated for high speed. Don’t spend more than $10.- TCL 55S423 55in TV – (From Costco) Great price. Supports Chroma 4:4:4. Has ports coming off the side rather than back. 55in is as big as I would want to go for comfortable monitor. The TCL 55S405 is similar, but I think it has the ports coming off the back which means it has to mount farther from the wall.- As a side note, the Vivo Mount-VW03G is a great mount for a 55in screen that you need to be height-adjustable and rotatable and the Vivo Desk-V111VT makes a great rolling height-adjustable standing desk. Now that I finally have the hub and cables figured out, I am loving my setup!!Links:Anker Powerline II: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072JYDQ7NWBPINE Hub: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JYR7HDWKoopman Hub: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07M5DMYKYWacom Power Adapter: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074HDZ3QPMickey Mouse Power Cord: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002V9U7WYVivo Adjustable Mount: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0155N478MVivo Rolling Adjustable Desk: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GGBHQQVNote: I didn’t go with the Surface Dock because of short non-removable/extendable proprietary cable and less power delivery. I wish Microsoft would fix both of those things and offer a simple option that didn’t involve figuring out all the separate pieces above.

Anker has several different cables:Powerline Economy Cable, charges well, low price, rubber coated cable, cheap connectors.Powerline II Entry-Level Cable, charges well, low price, rubber coated cable, upgraded connectors.Powerline+ Mid-level Cable, charges well, average price, more durable cable with nylon over the rubber coat, more durable connectors.Powerline+ II High-End Cable, charges fast, high price, Extremely Durable, Best Connectors at both ends of the cables.I only use Anker Cables. The Powerline cables I have all over my house, the cheaper cables are great for areas you’ll just put your device down and let it charge. I use the Powerline+ in areas where we actually like to play on the phone while it charges. The neck on the powerline+ is more durable so if you’re moving the phone a lot it should handle a lot of bending at the neck of the cable (I have had some of these cable fray at the neck so they are not impervious to bend/break like Apple cables) Finally the powerline+ II I only have a couple of the cables, I use them with my powerbanks beccause not only do they seem to charge faster, but they are more durable and when I’m charging with my powerbank I’m constantly moving, bending, pulling on the cable, have not had a problem with the Powerline+ II, just can’t afford to upgrade all the cables in my house with this expensive line.Love Anker Products. Anker stands by their products and replaces anything for free as long as it’s under warranty (usualy 12-18 months depending on the product). There is 1 thing I hate about Anker customer support, they are completely impersonal. You’ll read this grievance in my most of my recent reviews, I’ll explain and let you decide for yourself if Anker Support could have, should have, treated me better. Just bought multiple items as Christmas gifts for 16 family members (16 power banks, 16 lightning cables, 8 micro USB cables, 8 Wall Chargers, 5 Car Chargers) Not only did I spend a lot of money but I gave Anker 16 new customers that are already purchasing more Anker products. So when my personal 6ft Powerline+ lightning cable broke after a few months of minimal use (exposing the wire) I sent in my request for a new cable. I explained how much I love Anker, how I just got my entire family Anker products and got Anker a bunch of new customers and I was surprised the cable broke so easily. I asked if they could replace my cable with the 6ft Powerline+ II, figuring it may be more durable. Their reply was surprising, they wanted to refund me for my cable so I could purchased the newer cable. They did not offer a discount for the new cable, so essential they were not willing to give me the newer cable for free, it would have cost me a few more dollars and honestly I can’t imagine it really costing Anker more than a few cents for the upgraded cable. This is such a huge turn off, I’m the customer you want, not just a guy who buys a cable, but someone who buys many, many products from you, gives your products to all of my family members, and promotes your products to everyone… So many of my friends have also gotten Anker cables based on my recommendation. Highly disappointed in your customer service skills Anker, still love your products but I don’t plan on promoting your products until you learn how to treat your GREAT CUSTOMERS BETTER.

Cable seems to be high quality and is a heavy gauge for high wattage quick charging.

I purchased this cable so i could use my huion kamvas 13 without the messy cables. i had to cut off a significant amount of the plastic around one of the ends to make it work but it fits now and works flawlessly!

I’ve used Anker cables and chargers for years. With the release of the new iPhone 15 Pro Max and AirPro Pros with USB-C, I needed to streamline my charging setup. I purchased a 140 watt Anker travel power strip with two USB-C and two USB-A ports. I use this 3’ USB-C cable to charge my MacBook or iPad Pro at full speed. I’ve also used it to charge an Anker power bank at a full 100 watts. The cable is high quality. I use it almost daily when I travel. It just works. I’ll continue to buy Anker cables, chargers, and power banks just as I have for almost a decade now.

There are a lot of cables you can cheap out on. I get HDMI cables for 5 bucks all the time and they work for years. Same with DVI and usb mini. But USB-C is super finicky, and even the high quality wires don’t always have complete functionality. This one does so far. Video, high speed data, high power charging, it’s good to go.

I like the length of this cable it is replaced one twice as long and I don’t need all the extra cable hanging around. I use it to connect my 2nd monitor (Lenovo( which acts as a docking station for my WTF set up to connect to my Lenovo laptop. The cable has had no problem providing power to charge the laptop and provide the signal to extend my display on to the monitor. This cable is exactly what I needed.

Don’t settle for less by getting a cheaper USB-C cord. This Anker cord is a quality cord that will last many many months if not years. The transfer of data between my Samsung portable hard drive and my MBP is amazingly fast, especially when you have plenty of full length movies to transfer between a laptop and a portable HD device. Without a doubt, I highly recommend this product, especially if you can get this cord on sale. I have 2 of these cords; maybe some day a longer length will be available.
