I needed a USB-C to USB-A cable to connect a new iPhone15Pro to Apple CarPlay on a Subaru Crosstrek. The car manual (of course) does not specify the type of USB protocol the cable must have. To be on the safe side, I didn’t want a charging cable (most of which have USB 2.0 data transfer speed) but a USB 3.2 Gen 2×1 (10 Gbs) cable. This Amazon Basics cable does just that. Also, my experience with Amazon Basics computer cables are that they are well-built, study, have great specs, and not least of all are an outstanding value.

This cable has a very sturdy cord and seems to be well-insulated. I was previously using flimsier cords to connect external hard drives to my computer, and this cable has provided much better transfer speeds. For copying large backup files (> 100 GB), the old cables were maxing out at around 180 MB per second; with this cable, the speeds approach 300 MB per second and sometimes exceed it.

High quality connectors provide positive connection to my phone where cheap USB-C connector was iffy, and I don’t have to worry about drawing too much power from the port.

Someone on here submitted a one star for this product not working with an I product which I feel maybe the case. Not the cord. Maybe it is but the end result being I whatever because it’s Mac. I received it on time. As soon as I opened it I could feel how it was very similar to the thickness of the original cable that comes with the Samsung T5. Just a lot longer. Especially when you put a review and say doesn’t work with ssd’s is pretty bold being that the same product as mine and works just fine. Now to continue more specifically to allow similar use, reviewers see if this scenario is right for them. I bought this only to avoid using the Samsung version it came with. I searched months now for a replacement to buy for that just in case from Samsung and no luck. Especially if I could find one that was longer. local shopping and Amazon search to see if it’s compatible with the t5 and could not get help so looked hard, and read every detail and found this and it works great for my ps4 pro and the t5. No issues read right up and started playing. Now as I said before. Specifically I use it for again ps4 pro and connected to the t5. So for those who need it for that I would suggest getting it. It’s nice to have it aways and safely plugged in and feels durable and thick so I imagine it’s going to last. Update 10/30/21. Still working and 4 to 5vdays a week I was switching to monitor on ps4 upstairs and pro on TV downstairs and still no issues.
