I can confirm this SWANN SWNVK-1686810FB-US 16 camera NVR system does work with Blue Iris software (as of 2023), but does not appear to work with ONVIF, so unable to pass alerts from NVR into Blue Iris. In the NVR, the protocol should be set to PRIVATE and mode as AUTO on each camera. Blue Iris can also record sound from the cameras through the NVR connection, which is nice, but talk support back through the camera speaker does not work from Blue Iris.My settings that I find to work the best are…For each camera, point to the HTTP address of the NVR, Make=Swann, Model=”SWNHD-885 RTSP”, Cam#, Main Stream=”/ch{CAMNO2}/0″, Sub Stream=”/ch{CAMNO2}/1″,Audio is defaulted as blank.

I have had this camera system for a month and have no issues with it. I bought a 2K 32 inch monitor and the pictures are very clear and crisp. I have TP-Link internet router with true high quality internet service. If you don’t have high speed internet service you WILL have problems. When I mean high speed, not the speed you need for gaming just an upgrade from your regular service. I did this and everything runs very smooth, and it was only an extra$10 a month. Well worth it when the system works flawlessly. It was -13 degrees with the wind chill of -30 degrees and the cameras were still working. I installed the camera system myself and I had to buy extra 6 cat cables so it would look neat going into the outside wall from the camera box. I also had to but a 100 foot 6 cat cable to run to the far side of my house and it worked just fine. Running the camera wires through the house and outside wasn’t to bad. Now that the wires are ran I never have to replace a battery. I also like talking to people while there coming up to my residence with the app on my phone. That’s very cool.

I love the quality of these cameras and I will likely buy more. Picture quality is great and motion detection is also excellent though it sometimes detects both snow and flies which I didn’t sign up for. lolBuild quality is good. You have the option to turn on the lights for better colorful night vision; the option is in the app. I highly recommend them

The media could not be loaded. Add On cam to a Swann NVR-8580. I Recently seeded an area and needed proof that a neighbors outside cat was doing damage to my property. I suspected one cat but there was also two other cats marking behind it. After capturing footage, we addressed the issue with the cat owner #1 and everything has since been resolved. The Camera – Good add on. No issues with moisture. I initially had problems with the motion detection, you may need to adjust the NVR settings and phone app setting to check your camera(s) sensitivity and set up modes.

Great images. NVR is powerful and there’s some noise that comes with that. Haven’t had problems with cameras fogging but we have so much ambient lighting at night we did need to adjust the night vision. Play around with the system which is pretty extensive and you can get it really customized. Love the siren/light/speaker options. We’ve had some trouble with intrusive neighbors and this really helps us feel safe to travel again since we can see what’s happening at home with the app.

We started with Arlo 18 months ago and that was just OK for a quick fix but not reliable in the least, nor was it good quality video. We purchased the 8 camera Swann system and are SO pleased. The picture and sound quality is really impressive, and the system and cameras were relatively easy to install. The night vision and spot lights are also great. There is a learning curve to understand the technology of various operations, however, youtube has tons of videos on how to use features of the system effectively. We now feel confident our property is much more secure when we are not at home.

The camera is amazing, great picture bright lights, alarms, plus a lot more. You’ll need to take the time figuring everything out yourself. Swann technical support has yet to help me with anything I’ve always had to figure it out on my own

Previously used a Swann NVR7200. The picture quality on this unit is much better, the night vision is superior, 2-way audio, LED light and it provides motion detection with push notifications. The remote setup is much different than the NVR7200. It does not require port forwarding and we had to use the default ports. The remote access provides the ability to view previous alarm recordings, not a continuous playback. The backup feature now allows capture of user selected time spans. Motion detection of people walking seems to be limited to about 30 or 40 feet. We are very pleased with the purchase.

I have had my new DVR for about 3 weeks now and the 4k camera work great. I am pleased with it so far. I think they need to provide a higher end CAT cable but the unit work perfect so really can’t complain.The cameras have lights, sirens and mic that listen, so that is pretty nice feature when you need it.
