Best buy geek squad said this was not available anywhere, and Amazon has it! We ordered it and replaced our base station that quit working. Everything works perfectly now. Money well spent.

I have arlo pro and my hub wouldn’t connect no matter what I would do. Reset button wouldn’t even work. There was no change in lights that it was resetting. This new hub fixed my issue right away and was able to connect my cameras.

Fairly easy to set up and allows me to use Arlo wireless camera on front porch. Have had this unit for a couple of years now, and still works great. No issues and would recommend this unit.

My Arlo system is about 5 or 6 years old………..A rare surge power failure occurred about two weeks ago, and apparently fried my VMB 4000 Base Station. Not knowing what had happened and all the indicator lights working properly on the base station, the base station showing up on my Router as a wired client…….it was maddening, reading everything I could, trying all the “fixes” on line and the base station was still no identified on the App on the Android phone, nor on the PC browser app.Finally I gave up and began to look for a replacement, even though this one was expensive, it was Prime and it was supposedly certified by Arlo.I was apprehensive, but it arrived and I plugged it in and I immediately was able to install my cameras and get my beloved system back on line, monitoring my driveway and garage………Thanks.

At first I had problems connecting but I reset which is also recommended in instructions and started working. About a month using it and is doing well. Works with my original Arlo cam and Essential… i noticed a little delay in motion detection but does not other me for my simple monitoring needs… maybe changing the cable helps but am using the one that comes with it. It haven’t go offline or given me any network error. Hope this helps…

Pros:-the camera has great picture-sound is clear-the siren would make even a navy seal pee his pant a little-the motion detection updates or message that goes to your phone is instantaneous.-The night vision tech is pretty impressive-This is also the only camera system that doesn’t charge an additional fee for storage.-anything that’s captured can be saved within 7 days otherwise its deletedCons:-The setup is easy but I had trouble syncing the camera …videos online helped me out so not a huge deal just annoying -The two way convo is like a walkie talkie and there is about a 2 second delay between talking and the person at the door hearing you-Also if you are talking you can’t hear the other person at all it… so yes its two way talk but its really just a fancy walkie talkie-overall a worth while investment for a little home security and I would recommend this over anything else on the market as you really do get the most bang for your buck…its not perfect but it is pretty darn good.

I needed to add another camera to my group, so I took my time to investigate my many options. I kept coming back to the Arlo Essential camera. Like my other Arlo camera’s it was up and running within minutes. I have had my other Arlo cameras for years. This new Essential camera is awesome! This is my first camera with two way sound and…it identifies animals from humans! I enjoy the animal alerts I get from it. Completely wireless, no power cords, and a charge that last over a month. Completely satisfied and would recommend to anyone. Go getcha some Arlos!
