I had the adhesive PopSocket mount in my old vehicle and it worked great, but my new car doesn’t have a good location to put one. I was hesitant to get the vent mount because it just doesn’t seem like plastic air vent flaps would be stable enough to hold a phone steady, especially since I have a large/heavy iPhone 13 Pro Max. It’s not quite as stable as an adhesive mount secured to a flat surface, but I was pleasantly surprised with how little the phone moves around, and how secure it actually seems to be. I put the mount on the very top slat of the air vent so that it’s stabilized by the top wall of the vent, and it has worked very well so far. I don’t drive on gravel roads much, but have definitely hit a few potholes already and it didn’t budge. If you have a good location to put an adhesive mount I would still recommend going that route, but if not, this is a very good alternative. Solid product.

This pop sockets makes it easy to hold your cell phone while driving. It fits most car vents. Easy to install or remove if switching cars. My phone is the iPhone 13 Pro Max. It is a bit heavy for this socket so I have to put a small piece of rigid silicone at the bottom of my phone to help keep it in place, otherwise the weight makes the phone droop and closes the air vent.

I think this was designed so that your phone wouldn’t fall out but the tapering makes it challenging to remove your phone. It’s a struggle every time I take my phone out. Would not buy again.

I bought this popsocket pod and I love it. Is simple and it doesn’t fall off or anything. I have had it for a while now and had to buy it for someone else because is just easier than using other phone mounts for your car. I recommend 👍

Perfect item for the car. The only downside is that if you have the heat on and your phone is in the holder. Your phone will get very hot. So keep that in mind and have the heat blowing from the floor instead of out the upper vents.

I’ve been looking for a minimalist phone holder for my car and THIS IS IT! Granted, you have to have a Popsocket on your phone, which I do, so it works beautifully by snapping into the vent right by the steering wheel. Perfect!
