There are two ways to power your radio: use the included NiMH rechargeable batteries for up to 12 hours or use 3 AA batteries for up to 29 hours. To recharge the NiMH batteries, choose from one of three ways: connect it to your vehicle adaptor or your computer, or plug the micro-USB cable into an outlet.

My three grandsons ages 9-12 love using these 2-way radios. The radios have been dropped from about 10 feet in height and landed on to a hard surface with no issues. They certainly are ruggedly built. I can’t provide a maximum of point to point distance of use, but the boys can easily communicate several blocks away from each other (estimating about 7/8 of a mile) located in a hilly suburban setting having primarily 2-story homes as barriers. This radio set is very reasonably priced for the excellent quality received.

I live way out in the country in South Texas, when grandkids come these radios make for great fun! The range is really good, we have rolling hills which helps these radios work great! Their small an handy!

We got the walkie talkies to keep track of or kids on our cruise Wonder of the Seas. We were on the fence about getting these because of misleading reviews on here but, in our experience, these worked great. Our cabin was on the 7th deck about mid ship and we could communicate from the pool deck 15 no problem. We started experiencing problems in comms when we were far aft like in the buffet and the others were in the room. On lower decks we also had a bit more restriction in distance. Generally we were always able to communicate within 4 decks and the sets not as far apart from each other as possible, which you won’t be doing much. Anyway, they work, did there job, I recommend.

The media could not be loaded. I set up and Have tested and they seem to work. I have never had walkie talkies before so they are my first. I have used them 2x and every thing seems perfect. I like them and never having walkie talkies before I am pleased and happy.

Motorola Talkabout and previous Walk About i think they were called are awesome. When these eventually fail i will buy them again they are that good. Here is what i like about them.– Water resistant ok to use in the rain…dont think they are waterproof.– Rechargable PLUS regular battery option. This is the best part so when the rechargable batteries die out…just pop in regular AAA batteries to extend the life of these radios even further.– Inside a full metal building on my property, full clear signal up to my house…through the metal cant believe it.– Small enough to put in pocket, and belt clip is included.No COCS really i can think of. Highly recommend.
