Amazon Customer –
Great weather radio, easy to set up and super nice features. Used to purchase radio shack for years. Great substitute.

I have had a Midland weather radio most of my adult life and the one I had finally decided it was time to retire. I purchased this model to replace it and it works like a charm. It is easier to reach the controls and read the warning screen than my old one was. I just hope it lasts as long as my old one did. Great quality and price.

Seems to work fine and waiting to hear the alert tone when weather gets bad..

This radio has very good reception, picking up our local NWS transmitter easily. Features are nice too: battery backup, lighted tuning window & selectable warning messages.Battery backup uses 3 AA batteries for use when the power fails; Lighted controls allow unit to be used in low light or even NO-light situations; you can tailor the kind of emergency warnings you’ll receive, whether for earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes or blizzards (to name a few).

It’s a great alarm, we just wanted something for a backup if our cells are dead or not working!

If you live in a rural area with bad weather year round, you need this! Works great alarm goes off with severe warnings and immediate danger warnings for Hail, tornado, flooding, etc. It is a little loud and went off when I had in my room and it nearly gave me a heart attack. The down side is there is no volume control of the alert volume. Put in a place where you one sleep lol.

Small size, volume and easy to operate.

I bought this for a friend of mine in Ohio. Several years ago a couple tornadoes dropped down very close to her and she didn’t know anything about it. The other night 7 tornadoes went through Ohio and my friend had her Midland radio set up. She said it notified her of the tornado watch several times. I just want her to have some time to get to her safe place in case a tornado comes close to her house. I think she is pleased and I am happy and relieved she is using it.

Quick to ship. Item works perfectly & as designed. Excellent tool for those that frequently experience dangerous weather conditions. We like it because the first thing that goes out is the local power grid and this radio has good battery life. Thank you!

Definitely an asset & helpful to have in tornado probe area! It has alerted us a couple of times already & loud enough to hear from every room in our 2 bedroom apt. I even heard it when I was in the shower! Feel safer having it & bought one for a family member.
