And it cost an arm and a leg just like this one… because it was required for my high school math classes. I’m happy to see that after 30 years it does exactly the same thing, but now in color and at a higher cost. The ROI on this particular piece of hardware must be through the roof for Texas Instruments.I can’t wait to buy the exact same thing for my grandkids, except maybe this one in 30 years will have a hologram display or something.

I’m attempting my degree again after being out of school for almost 20 years. This calculator has helped me tremendously with my math assignments!!! It was little confusing learning how to use it but once you learn it it’s great!!!! Most teachers want you to know the formula and let the tech do the work. Well this calculator has majority of the formulas already programmed in it!!! Let’s just say it was worth the money

First, let me say that buying this refurbished was probably the most economical way to go about it.How TI calculators get away with being so expensive and doing so little compared to a much smaller and more feature-rich smartphone, I never will understand (aside from palms in the testing industry getting greased).The calculator itself works well and is easy to understand and use after going through a few video tutorials on YouTube.The battery life is impressive (measured in weeks or months as opposed to hours or days with a smartphone, even with daily use).But value? Come on–over a hundred dollars for something with less power than the smartphone I had a decade ago?

Came timely and in great condition. I used this first in my freshman Alg 2 class and I knew this was a calc I could count on. Try to get some exposure to how it works before purchasing your own because it can get pretty complex. Also I heard you can download flappy bird on it….

I bought this calculator for my son who is a high-school sophomore. His teacher said they use a TI-Nspire in class. The calculator was new in the package and is an excellent calculator; however, it does so much I am not even sure how to use it and neither is my son. It has instructions with it but you can literally buy a book online for it. Unless you use this regularly, you won’t be able to use it for geometry or significantly difficult math right out of the box. One plus though is it is allowed to be used during SATs and ACT testing. The TI-Nspire CAS is not allowed, so if you are buying a TI-Nspire calculator and want to be able to use it for testing, be sure you get the CX or CX II model. There may be other calculators permitted, but this one is definitely permitted. Once we learn how to use this, it will be a great little calculator. It has a great color display and comes with a slide on cover and cable so you can download your work to your laptop or PC.
