I bought this for my Canon printer, and it’s the only cartridge that works with consistent quality. Yes, it’s expensive, but I’ve so many bad experiences with off brand toner, that I’ll stick to original Canon ones from now on. It works very well, and the print quality is great.

Have two Canon printers & laser one uses the 54H (extended use) black toner. Extends black ink use considerably over the 54 version; quality printing on quality paper (only kind I buy) … probably prints close to 2500 pages before running out so I find this size/price cost affective to my needs & replacement.

This is indeed a genuine Canon cartridge, as far as I can tell. The toner works as it should and I can print black again. Get the larger size if you have a choice, the price is a bit more but you get substantially more toner in the cartridge. It is a decent price for the cartridge as of when I bought it, too.

I’ve been burned too many times with refilled toner cartridges for my Canon printer with leaks and smears on my prints. I only buy the factory Canon cartridges and they work perfectly. That said, toner cartridges remain ridiculously overpriced and my printer notoriously wants me to change the toner well before they are actually empty.

So I tried one of the off brand ones because it’s more affordable than the original ones, but I regret it because after few prints it started to streak and smudge the paper. As soon as I switched back to this one, it fixed the issue immediately from the first print, though I wish it’s cheaper.
