These work better than off brand and last pretty well – about the advertised page count for “normal” printing duty. I am not sure the ink itself is any better in the brand cartridges, but the cartridges fit, and most importantly, don’t cause the printer to send warning messages and you don’t have to clear warnings multiple times to use them. It’s worth the extra money to be able to pop them in and go on with my work.

It’s hard to find “name brand” Brother ink instead of generic ones. This is top quality, they last a long time and the price is fair. Hard to beat. I always buy the XL size since they save having to change them as often and are a better buy.

Bought these for ‘spares’ so I have not actually used them yet. That said, I really like the packaging. It gives me confidence that when I do install them they will work as promised.Details:This has not been the case with two different vendors ‘knock-off’ cartridges I have purchased. One was of obviously poorer quality and print results. One color ran out before I received another vendor’s cartridges ordered 2 weeks after receiving the first order. It clearly failed short of 250 pages in spite of stating it was good for 1500 plus. The second vender was offering a ‘special’ of 3 sets of color cartridges plus 6 black for the price of 2 color and 4 black. 1 color failed out of the box. (They replaced it for ‘free’ if I paid the return postage. Took over 3 weeks to get the replacement. Would have been really bad If I hadn’t had extras.)Again, cartridge life was short and unpredictable. They refused to refund the purchase price or even a ‘pro-rata’ amount.Bottom line:I have never been disappointed using OEM Brother toner or ink. In my opinion Brother offers the best quality and value in both printers and printer supplies.Background:- Have provided consulting and service to small business and individuals for computers and software for close to 40 years. Semi-retired in 2011. – For the last few years I primarily use a laser printer for ‘ black and white’, a multi-function color ink-jet for family photos, spot color, graphs and charts. I use a pro quality, large frame ink-jet for art reproduction and documents up to 24″ wide.- I have never worked for Brother nor resold their products.

or you will have foam all over your bathroom. Make sure to put it in the drain on the side of the house which is the closest to your septic or where the pipes run to the street.

I have wasted a lot of money on “knock off” inks. They never work! Now I grit my teeth and order genuine Brother ink cartridges – and try not to think of the cost.

But the price is too high

It’s probably the printer rather than the specific toner, but I’m very happy with how seldom I need to replace these cartridges.

I ordered the cartridge and it came very quickly
