I bought the Zumo XT2 based on the bright screen, 6” diagonal view, and great reviews. The setup was easy and I updated the maps and software in just an hour. I used a DEUTSCH connector to connect to my R1200RT hidden circuit tied off to the frame. It worked perfectly and the Ram mount is very flexible in getting the perfect orientation for the best view. This purchase was definitely worth the premium price for the outstanding design, performance, and quality.

I finally upgraded my Zumo 660 to the XT2 and I’m very happy I did. The performance is great, the display is beautiful, and the features are all there. I’m struggling a bit to figure out how to create trips in the Tread app, but I’m getting there. A few complaints.1. Every time I stop anywhere near a gas station it thinks I fueled up and asks if I want to reset the tank.2. Notifications are controlled by type, not app. I get some notifications I couldn’t care less about. I really only want one or two apps to come through.3. There’s no audio out, so I can’t connect it to my stereo like my 660 was.It’s still a great GPS, and I’m happy with the purchase though.

I haven’t had a chance to install the XT2 on my motorcycle yet, but am going to do just that in a few months after the snow stops falling! The XT2 is much faster than the XT that it is replacing and I am anxiously waiting to give the “2” a thorough test drive in the Spring.

Packs a ton of features, many I haven’t tried yet (track group riders, for example), but the large bright screen’s easy to see in sunlight.Menus take some practice, but you eventually get what you wanted to see.Haven’t tried it in the rain.Too bad farming doesn’t provide a mount that fits directly onto the BMW R1250GS GPS cradle instead of the crude u-bolt unit that’s included. Would be a big benefit if the Zumo XT2 cradle wiring included a USB users could just plug into an adapter that fits the BMW power socket (photo 2) in addition to the coil of wire (photo 3).

Great unit for an ADV rider. Traffic updates work really well where I’m using it in Washington State. I can map out various points for long road trips or just choose a random spot in the woods and let it guide me through all kinds of forest roads. Friend has the original and we used it to nsvigste the Washington BDR 600 miles offroad riding and I bought the XT2 as soon as we came back.

I still have the OEM navigation on my BMW but this is soo much better & easier. Especially when using the GARMIN THREAD app – a breath & very pleasant to create a route.

We bought it for our motorcycle. Love the big display.easy to see and it mounted easily on the bike. Its a bit confusing to make routes utube has been really helpful.

Bought to replace a TomTom Rider. I find the Garmin’s screen easier to see due to brightness and contrast, and the viewing angle doesn’t affect the display. The primary reason I purchased the Zumo was for fuel planning and monitoring, which for me, was lacking in the Rider. What I dislike about the Zumo, is the Tread app.

Absolutely the best. I’ve had most of the garmin zumos and this one is absolutely incredible. My only suggestion is to include some of the features from the first xt. Bluetooth route sharing and history info
