I was delighted to find this replacement as a single item. I thought for sure I’d have to replace the entire mechanism. FIt is perfect, but initially gripped the ball at the end of the mounting stalk so tightly the GPS was difficult to reposition. However, after some use the fit eased and now works as well as the original.

I went on vacation and as always brought my GPS device. When I picked up my rental car and went to attach the device to the windshield I realized I forgot to bring this little mounting piece. Needless to say it was very difficult trying to prop my GPS somewhere that would allow me to see the screen while driving. When this item arrived it fit my device perfectly and allowed me to mount my GPS securely to the windshield in the hot Florida sun where it remained for an entire week. It literally saved my vacation and potentially my life.
