This is a handy addition to your fitness plan. The phone app is easier to use than I expected. The free data plan still provides most of the basic information you need. The sleep tracker is better than what most of the reviewers were saying. I am glad I purchased this. I bought some extra elastic wristbands – these help tremendously. Thank you, Fitbit.

My second fit bit. I had charge 2 a few years ago. Like that it is small not big and clunky. Has all features I need for working on getting healthy and to lose weight. The sleep tracking is not very accurate as I use C-Pap and fitbit stats are much lower than machine reads

I’ve been using this tracker for a few weeks now and it is excellent. I have not even explored all the features yet, but have already benefited from the information provided.I try to go for daily walks and it keeps track of my calories burned automatically sensing that I am on a walk. I also play soccer while wearing it and it is able to automatically categorize that as a sport activity. It senses how hard you’re working by your heart rate and gives you pulses to let you know what’s happening without having to even look at the watch. The sleep metrics are interesting and I’m looking forward to getting a detailed assessment with the premium analysis. Premium features are free for the first 6 months with purchase.I’ve also been extremely impressed with the battery life and charging time. I’ve gone well over a week without needing to recharge and the charge was extremely fast. The watch is waterproof and I’m looking forward to being able to track my swimming next summer.Overall, I think this is a fantastic product and would highly recommend it.

Does far more than I need. Strap has a buckle, which is a huge improvement over the older version pin & hole fastener. Mobile app installed on your own device should stay active, but sometimes shuts down and requires a fresh log-in. Great … (sarcasm) … one more thing to have to remember. Hard to evaluate accuracy, wear it on your wrist, sit down and ie. play piano all day, and you’ve traveled miles? How does it convert the length of a step into a linear distance traveled? Bands are too short to wear this on an adult ankle, which would perhaps be a better measure of steps taken.

Screen went black and won’t turn back on 4 days after Amazon return window closed but all I had to do to get it replaced was call fitbit since it was under warrantee. Got frustrated trying to complete the warrantee process online but calling the phone number turned out to easy so I have edited my review to reflect this. The device itself is terrific which is why I was so unhappy when it stopped working.

I needed a replacement for my gen 1 Halo when Amazon decided to pull the plug on it. I loved my Halo and this Fitbit does most of the same features plus some the Halo didn’t have. What it doesn’t have…Halo has a great imaging feature where you can take photos of yourself and it will calculate body fat and make a virtual model of your body to predict what you will look like if you gain or lose weight. I loved this feature and the BMI calculation was accurate as it was almost exactly what I got from my doctor plus or minus a fraction of a percent. Halo also had a mobility assessment feature that would diagnose where you are having mobility issues and prescribe exercises and stretches to correct issues. What Fitbit has that halo didn’t…Fitbit has an excellent calorie tracking feature with a bar code and database that is updated by user inputs. This feature was pretty terrible years ago when Fitbit first launched it but today the database is quite good and easy to update by snapping a few pictures. I’ve tried noom my fitness pal and other similar apps but the Fitbit version is the best I’ve seen.Fitbit also now adds a recovery tracker as a part of Fitbit premium. This is great for tracking when you are best fit for a hard workout, when to take it easy, or when you should probably take a day off. It also has a stress tracker and mindfulness tracker. The mindfulness tracker also has some meditations that are available in premium as well. Registration of your device gives you 6 months of premium subscription for free.Aside from those features where the two differ the units are pretty much the same except the Fitbit has a screen and the Gen 1 Halo interfaced only by the phone app. I prefer not to have a screen as I always use the app and the screen is just another weak point that can be damaged. Unfortunately not many trackers without screens are available these days. Even later generation Halos incorporated screens. Whoop is a non-screen option but has a higher subscription cost so it was a no-go for me. Fitbit gives you food logging, macronutrient tracking, calories burned, step counter, exercise tracking, heart rate, sleep tracker, water consumption, movement reminders, and weight loss goal tracker included without subscription in addition to the features I mentioned earlier only available with the premium subscription. The main thing you like about it is that the exercise tracking is automatic. If I just exercise for 10 minutes or longer it figures out what exercises you are doing and logs it along with workout metrics. This is easy for me and it dies it accurately so I can just run, or get on my bike and go. You can manually set it up too if you prefer or wish to use GPS tracking.

I was looking for a lightweight watch that wasn’t too bulky, but also had the capability to count steps since I don’t always carry my phone on me to track accurately. I also needed an option for a second hand, which this has a stopwatch that I use to count heart rates and respirations since I’m a nurse. The sleep and exercise tracker is a bonus and I am enjoying it all around. I haven’t activated the free premium for 6 months and I am getting everything I want out of it without the premium. I would definitely recommend. The strap that comes with is not the most comfortable or easiest to get on and off. Right off the bat I ordered separate straps since I’ve had a Fitbit in the past and remembered how much I hated the band. The stretchy adjustable bands I bought are perfect and make it very comfortable.

I had a rough 2023 and got out of any sort of routine for activity. I am 69 and have several health issues. I bought this hoping that I could track steps. I never thought I would become accountable to a fitness tracker. I love that it counts all steps, not just when I remember to pick up my phone. I like the subtle hourly reminders that I need to move. Because of my health issues, it is easy to veg on the couch and not move for hours. I have increased my walking goals every two weeks and have not found it difficult to meet it. My doctor has wanted me to “get my heart beating”. I am able to see what is really happening with the heart rate zones. I know as I get in better shape, I will need to push harder to reach those zones. It is good to be able to actually see it. The sleep tracking has been interesting. It explains why sometimes I am so exhausted the following day. This device does SO much more than I thought it would. There is something about seeing those numbers and knowing I am really accomplishing something that continually keeeps me motivated. I cannot believe I am saying this because it has never been true but I am actually enjoying exercising. Best purchase of 2024 and I won’t be surprised if I am saying the same thing in December of 2024!

Now I can instantly see my heart rate anytime. Instantly because in the background, it is constantly measuring my heart rate. Useful when out for my daily walk. I put the watch face on that shows a heart front and center. I will post a photo of this. So I tap 2x on the watch face or shake my wrist. To see what my heart rate is._______ Next I will take a look at me heart rate logs on me phone. The only thing this watch is missing, is giving O2 readings any time I want. But I have a clunky Keep On Fit smart watch that can do this. So I wear this sometimes. — https://www.amazon.com/KEEPONFIT-Smartwatch-Waterproof-Fitness-Tracker/dp/B0CD7K9HRS?th=1________What it will do for your O2, is track it while you are sleeping/ To be read the next day on yr phone. I am pretty sure it logs your sleep O2 for you to refer to if you have a medical condition. Very useful!
Yes, I bought this –
I am no workout jock but I like checking that I actually moved during the day and confirming that if I feel like crap when I wake up it’s justified. This tracker satisfies my needs. It has a reasonable feature set for an ordinary person and I can even drop exercise I do in other apps to it. Would it be sufficient for someone who is all-in with their exercise. Probably, but I’m not qualified to answer. The standard band is functional. I got the nasty orange color (and my daughter made fun of me) because it was cheaper and then promptly bought a replacement band, which I was planning on doing anyway. Nothing wrong with it though.
