I needed a long cord to charge my i-Phone from the plug behind the couch. I’ve had it for several months.It’s not a fast charger but I don’t need a fast charger. It keeps my phone charging when I’m using it on the couch. It’s long enough to be close enough to my bed to reach over and turn off the alarm in the morning.It’s been durable and has lasted longer than any of the Apple-brand chargers I paid too much for from Verizon! I use it every day and it’s still going strong!I highly recommend!

Works great seems to be a much better quality cable than most others

Replacing my cheap knockoff cables with this one after researching why some of my devices are not charging any more.—-The Pros: 1) This cable is safe to use … it has the required chipset (most important thing you want in a lighting cable). 2) Can’t attest to it’s durability as I have not had it long enough but it appears well made. 3) It’s flexible with a rubbery feel. 4) Comes in colors (so I can easily tell them apart from any knockoff).—-Cons: None so far—-I used to think lighting cables were just a cable … so my only criteria was to find ones which were durable. Unfortunately, after having several iPhones and iPads which were failing or starting to fail to charge, no matter which cable we used, I found out that there was more to it.—After a bit of research I discovered that there are several chips in a lighting cable which communicate with an iDevice and control how much power to supply it. In other words the chips in the cable protect your apple device by charging it at the correct rate. (I assume apple did this in the cable and not your phone so that if you plugged into a bad USB only the cable would be destroyed and not your phone or iPad). In any case these chips are not cheap (around $7) and unfortunately the knockoff cables have found ways of bypassing them putting your expensive iPhone/iPad in jeopardy. Many claim to be apple certified when they are not.—-It’s has become a big problem because the only sure fire way to tell is to destroy one of the cables you just ordered by cutting it open and seeing if the correct chip set is inside (I have done this with a few of my cables). But that is not a great solution … so the next best thing is to 1) find a trusted brand 2) find a cable which has been verified by someone already—I have other products from Anker which I’m happy with and seem to be designed well. I also search for and found a review which teared down half a dozen lighting cables. One of them was Anker’s Powerline (v1, previous version to this one). It indeed looked to have the correct chip set (You can find out what to look for searching google).—The knock-offs have gotten so good that some of the identifying attribute you could use in the past are no longer valid. So, what you read may not be totally correct anymore. A few indicators which I use are: 1) price … if the cable is less than the $7 (the cost of the chips needed) then you can assume it’s fake. 2) your iDevice tells you it’s not charging … it maybe the cable or it could be the USB port … try a know valid cable (it could be that charging circuit in your iPhone/iPad has already been damaged … ). 3) your iDevice tells you it’s not connected to an approved device … might be the cable … try a know valid cable. 4) many knock-offs have a metal lighting connection which is not solid. i.e. the part which goes inside the iPhone is made of many pieces of thin metal (google for a picture). This is a sure sign of a knock off.

While out of town, my iPhone lightning charger cable was almost dead at 13%. I found a store near the hotel and took a chance the store would stock iPhone lightning chargers. The Anker Powerline II was the only charger the store had available to charge my iPhone 13 Pro. It charges at such a fast speed. I purchased another Anker Powerline II from Amazon because I needed an extra lightning charger to keep in my possession. I am aware products are upgraded and products are discontinued. No matter what, I will buy an Anker Powerline II lightning charger as long as it is on the market. I higher recommend it. Try it and you will be amazed.

After a series of buying charging cords that didn’t work, I’ve discovered Anker is a quality product and is sold at a reasonable price.
