Skar Audio FSX65-4 6.5″ 300 Watt 4 Ohm Pro Audio Midrange Loudspeaker, Each

Have a 2014 Chevy Cruze LT that came with the premium Pioneer 9 speaker system…but it sounded like anything but. The front door speakers in particular distorted something awful even with the bass turned all the way down and if it was cold….the sound was so bad that I would rather drive in silence.Since the door speakers were just midranges I wanted to replace them with something comparable. The impedance on the factory speakers was 3 ohms which was rather odd to me and these are 4.Installation was pretty easy, just had to remove the old speakers and splice the cables into the new ones. I am really amazed at the sound quality of a speaker brand I honestly had not heard of before.Sounds is really nice and clear with no distortion and are an upgrade compared to the factory speakers which by all purposes appeared to be made of unsealed paper. I am no audiophile but I do like to have good clean, powerful sound and as long as you temper your expectations of what these speakers can do I think you will be pretty happy with them.One piece of advice it to measure your clearance to determine if you need to get mounting brackets. For the Cruze these were not drop in replacements. I had to 3D print some brackets and even so I had to increase the height by 3 inches so they would clear the windows when lowered. Only had these for about a month so no problems so far. Time will tell how well they perform and last so if any issues comes up I will update the review but for someone who just wants to replace some blown out speakers or add some sound without shelling out $100+ for a pair of higher end brands these will do well.

The media could not be loaded. This review may piss your competitor off; but I am here for it! I recently purchased Rockville speakers to use as height speakers in my small hime theater. They sold me four with unfortunately one of the 6.5 woofers defunct. After trying to negotiating for them to at least replace the woofer to avoid a(n) possible length shipping process, I took things in my own hands and replace the woofers with your (SKAR) 6.5 Drivers. Immediately the difference was apparent due to the heightened sound quality. I posted the pictures on their sight as now as well as yours to simply say, “If you don’t fix your prouduct, I will with a superior one”. SKAR!

Great purchase

These things absolutely rock. I was looking to replace the door speakers in my 2003 Acura MDX and wanted some crystal clear voice speakers for the front and back doors and a nice sun for the trunk. I purchased a SkaR sub based on a friends recommendation and was absolutely stunned. It hits super hard. So based on how well the sun hit I decided to get these for my doors. OMG I WAS SUPER DUPER IMPRESSED!!!!!!!I have the sun being powered by an amp and had a seperate 4 channel amp to push these. I should’ve stopped there but I’m an idiot lol. So I figured I return these and get a more expensive brand JBL GTO 6.5 instead to see how they would sound. After installing the JBL I was highly disappointed and switched back to these. These are super clear and the sound is crisp. All my friends think my system cost me in the thousands but it was only a few hundred. I will only rock with SkaR products from now on. These are amazing speakers and they make crazy loud subs as well.
