Easy to install. Out of sight so there’s less clutter on my dash. So far it works on bumpy roads, unlike the docking model.

Receiver works well. Easy to connect. Take your time placing/installing the antennae. While I know the manufacturer “suggests” where to locate the antennae (roof) I decided to try what was easy first and thus far it’s been a success. I have an older model Camry 4-Dr Sedan with a relatively flat trunk lid which is where I opted to place the antennae. I placed the antennae centered on the trunk lid at a point closest to the back window with the wiring facing the back windshield. I fed the wiring up under the trunk lid and used zip ties to anchor the wiring to the underneath side of the trunk lid and down the hinge (I opted for the passenger side) and then began to feed the wiring through the trunk and under trim work until I reach under the passenger side of the dash where I secured the receiver and connected the wiring.Things to watch for using this location for the antennae are 1) Will I experience any interference with the stock antennae in the back window of the car? 2) Will there be an instance when I have a weak signal because the trunk lid is blocked by the roof? 3) Will the trunk lid pinch the antennae wire that I run under the lid between the car’s molding for the trunk? Thus far I’ve had no issues with the signal and I see no signs of the wire being pinched. What I like about this location is it required no mod to the car and no major work of removing and reinstalling a window seal. I also like that if “for whatever reason” I want to conceal the antennae I can simply open the trunk and put stick on the underneath side of the trunk lid until I am ready to use again. Such an example would be an automated car wash where I might want to tuck away the antennae until I am done. If I follow the suggested installation I can’t do this. But best of all the installation was simple. I’ll keep it this way until I start experiencing issues.

I purchased this along with the Pioneer 4000NEX and iDataLink Maestro to swap out my factory radio that already had Sirius. You should know that the receiver you mate this with needs to be SiriusXM ready, not Sirius Ready or XM Ready. It was very easy to install and works as described. I’m getting Album art on about 30 – 40% of the songs… it has more to do with the data being sent then the capabilities of the receiver. As my Ford factory radio already had Sirius I was curious if I could use the old antenna. This way I wouldn’t have to mount the new one that comes with the unit and go through the hassle of routing the wire. You can. The old antenna fits right into the unit. All you need to do is remove the plastic connector cover at the end. I did it with a pair of needlenose pliers with hardly any effort. Then just insert the antenna into the V300 and tape up the part that the cover protected / shielded. Works like a charm.I’ve noticed no sound fidelity increases / losses from my previous Sirius unit. Sirius and SiriusXM packages are not 100% the same, however. For example, you have to get the AllAccess package on SiriusXM to get the NFL Channel. Its on the cheaper Select package at Sirius. Its a nice unit and I’m glad I picked the V300 over the V200 for very few dollars difference.

I purchased this for the new features. One of the new features is album art. Thus far I have found that SiriusXM has done a poor job actually sending the album art. I’ve probably only seen it on about 20% of the music listened too. Perhaps it takes time for it to cache to the tuner, if that changes I’ll report back. All the other features work as advertised. Overall happy with this tuner, which I have connected to a new Pioneer AVH-X5700BHS.Update 3/26/15I am not sure what SiriusXM has done, but I noticed starting today that almost 100% of the music now has album art. This has vastly improved since I initially purchased this tuner. I have seen several negative reviews about this issue and apparently this finally caught the eye of someone to deal with it. So, with this change I will move this review to 5 stars.Update 8/22/15I’ve had this SiriusXM tuner now for about 6 months. It still performs well and I am very happy with it. Channel change quickly and channel art was recently updated with the channel changes on August 13th. I also love the fact that this tuner with an All Access Subscription gets the additional 20 SiriusXM Xtra Channels. The album art sometimes takes a bit to load, but most songs do present with album art now, so this is a vast improvement over the first couple of months that I started using it. If you have a SiriusXM Ready Head Unit I highly recommend this tuner.

Removed the stock 2013 Harley-Davison Street Glide FLHX sound system, and replaced it with the new Rockford Fosgate PMX-HD9813 stereo system that is Pandora, Sirius XM, Bluetooth, USB ready unit, and SiriusXM SXV300v1 Tuner. ALL work perfectly. Installation was quick, but not without effort due to the two back screws on the stereo unit, which are in a tight space, but if you have the right tools, no problem. Also, installed the flush mount Rockford Fosgate PAUX Punch Universal Auxiliary Input Port that replaces your cigarette lighter! You will need a Torx 25, and 3/16 Allen Wrench! Pandora and Sirius XM work seamlessly, and the sound ROCKS!!!

Just bought a new 11 inch floating screen alpine stereo. It came loaded to the gills except it did not have Sirius XM built in. I simply ordered this kit and called it in to a port on the back of the stereo and installed it. Set up was very easy and the subscription service was simple. Great addition to my new RV

I don’t understand why newer aftermarket car radios need a separate Sirius XM tuner, probably just to make more money. This did however fulfill my needs while I owned the vehicle. I bought this alongside the new car radio and slipped it in while I was wiring the harness. The antenna had plenty of length and has a magnetic backing as well as a 3M adhesive to make sure it stays in place on your vehicle. If you like to listen to Sirius XM and bought a new radio, this will do the job.

It is an awesome product if you have a SiriusXM ready stereo. Plug it in and go. Just remember you need to have your stereo on when they send the on signal to your stereo. I have better SiriusXM than my wife does now. Yay.

I purchased this item in order to retain SiriusXM to an aftermarket car stereo I was installing in my 2007 F150. I hooked it up to a Kenwood Excelon DDX6902S. It is small, compact and easy to install. It has an input for the satellite antenna and one output to the stereo. There are also two places for zip ties in order to secure this unit to the main wire bundle/harness or other hard point on the vehicle. Installation was very simple as long as you have some idea how to route, secure, and hide the wire to the antenna. On my truck, I was able to utilize the third brake light on the back of the cab in order to mount the antenna and route the wire inside of the vehicle. From there, I ran the wire through the roof, to the C-Pillar, through the kick panel on the driver’s side, and then behind the dash to where the stereo sits. Some vehicles will require more invasive techniques. If you are not comfortable with these modifications, you may want to have a professional install this item, but I really believe that any do-it-yourselfer can handle the installation. I should also note that the antenna puck is magnetic and sticks very well to the roof of your vehicle without the need for any adhesives.Once the antenna is installed and routed all you need to do is activate the tuner. I used the online tool to switch radios and my new head unit was working within 5 minutes. Connection and integration was very simple. I am very satisfied with this product and recommend it for anyone that needs to integrate satellite radio into a car/truck stereo. Compact, easy to hook up, and easy to operate.

Bought this to go along with my new Pioneer AVH-X5700BHS. I installed it along with my stereo in my 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 Big Horn. Since my truck had a factory satellite radio antenna, I was able to locate the connector for it behind my glove box, remove a yellow plastic retainer clip I didn’t need and plug it right into this unit. While it did plug in securely, I used some electrical tape as a little extra insurance. I didn’t want it to come unplugged down these South Georgia red clay roads. The hardest part of the whole install was routing the cable that goes to my head unit through the dash (without taking a bunch of junk apart.)As for sound quality – getting the sound just right took some work. Actually, it took some learning on my part as to how to operate my new head unit. However, once I mastered the equalizer settings and function volume control, the sound is not just good – it’s great! It is truly comparable to the sound quality I get via Bluetooth to my Note 4 or via USB to my jump drive. As for album art – it showed up immediately. All I can say, is this is a good tuner and it compliments my stereo very well. As others did, I got the 3 free months of service, which I plan to renew with an annual plan (Mostly Music) at the end of the trial. The biggest plus I’ve seen so far with Sirius XM is the variety and the lack of commercials. However, the customer support via telephone is a little lacking. Either the person I got was a newby or just wasn’t that good at her job, but eventually, I got my activation completed.
