Used this to tap into the monsoon system in my Hummer H3 today. Super simple install with the included wiring diagram. The bass switch is a nice addition too. Highly recommended.

Using this with a 12 inch powered sub. I’d say in reality the dial does work, but the negative wire was a little tight I wish they gave an inch more of slack, but that’s just for me. It works perfectly fine.

Update: blow the Jenson, got the power acustik gothic 12 from Walmart upon return, removed this converter and started using the highpass filter on my amp. (The converter dials there are two, they’re extremely fragile and brittle…or at least turning them a hair more than it shuda been popped the entire know off. Didn’t hurt it none and it worked still. But found out my power supply 8 pin plug was one pin backwards from being proper for a highpass filter plug. I still recommend this product for its price if your radio can do 50watts per channel or more. Any less and I would suggest looking elsewhere. Overall, sounded great, worked fine, just don’t need it now as I have a 10.1 inch deck going in *android deck at that.So far so good didn’t hook the second channel output up. But I’m also not using two subs. I’m also NOT having the proclaimed issue with no sound, nor do I have any issues with the louder I turn my factory radio/cd player up the less bass I get. Wished the wire was a tad longer from the converter however as you have NO ROOM for mistakes or recutting after applying a non removable connection. All in all I’m very satisfied, got mine in an open box form, all was there. No issues, *I’m using the 49.00 Jenson at your local WM so if your wondering if it’s any count, in the proper box with a bazooka port out the side its perfectly sound! Will update with info if I have issues, fire, or any of the other issues some have listed. If your factory deck can push 50+watts per channel i.e. hold 16 speakers high and mids then I’d have to guess this will work for you. The business cd player in an e46 has plenty of power and headroom without a doubt. So, there ya go.

This is actually the second time I have bought this handy little device; I liked it so much the first time that I came back when I needed a new one for a new install.I will say, as my title states, make sure you have done your research and KNOW how to go about installing one of these things. They really aren’t hard, but you can EASILY mess it up if you don’t pay attention to the instructions, the wire colors, and which wire goes where. It’s also a good idea to have a plan for where you are going to “tie” everything down before you start, and choose somewhere that is relatively easy to get to if you need to adjust the levels at any given time.Again…this is my second time installing one of these bad boys, so I had a good expectation of the amount of time and work I would have to put in to getting it all hooked up. Just plan on it taking a while, and give yourself most of the day to troubleshoot in finding the right wires on your car.One last piece of advice…that has nothing to do with this brand specifically and is more of a general tidbit…make sure you get all of your speaker wires solidly hooked up as well as your ground wire fully grounded BEFORE you hook up the power supply. The last thing you want is to fry a device that you spent the last several hours getting hooked up…or worse, frying your car.So, in short, be smart, pay attention, and set yourself some real expectations…if you do all that, you will more than likely love this little guy.

Since I’m not a mechanic, it’s hard to leave a review. Although the person doing the work had me order this and seems to be happy with it

The only thing I wish the remote wire was on the same side as the rest of the hook up wires. The volume knob feels a bit cheap but works great.
