I buy a lot of items on Amazon but I rarely take the time to write a review. I had to take the time to give feedback on these Polk 6.5″ speakers. I spent 5 times the amount on name brand high end 6.5″ speakers for my Harley Road Glide thinking I would get the best sound possible. Boy was I wrong. I ended up having nothing but problems. They didn’t fit and I had to trim to make it somewhat work. Once I got them to fit, the sound was not clear and had crackling. Thinking mainly cause it didn’t sit right and it was rubbing on the fairing. I decided to return it and take a chance with these inexpensive Polk audio’s. Polk has generally been a reliable name for many years and they live up to them. Install was a breeze and they fit in the fairings without any modifications needed. The sound is just amazing and for $60 you can’t beat it! If you own a harley and need some 6.5″ speakers do not hesitate to buy these.

This is my 2nd pair, for doing the rear doors, which will take some custom work on my part. I bought the 1st pair for the front crew cab doors from Crutchfield but they were out of stock this time. I love their support. I didn’t want to take a chance on an unknown, so had to 2nd source from amazon.Speakers arrived on time, new from Electronics Expo . I haven’t installed them yet, so this review is based on the first set I purchased a couple months ago.I am very pleased with the sound of these. I left my factory tweeters in place when replacing the factory woofer with this 2-way, but I’ve had no complaints.I temporarily hooked them up to a higher output head unit while waiting for my Boss amp to arrive and they sound much better than with my 15W aftermarket no-name touchscreen head unit. So it definitely takes some power to drive the bass on these.I’m looking forward to installing this 2nd pair with the new amp when I return home in a couple of weeks. I would definitely recommend them and obviously would purchase them again .

For the cost of these speakers they have the best sound, i even had the first generation version of these and they were good these are just even better.

in a first-generation honda insight, you cannot go wrong with this speaker. Sounds great, is lightweight, and fits in ALL the speaker spots with ZERO modification.Highly recommend.

The media could not be loaded. I upgraded from a 2 speaker stock system on my 22 Road Glide to a six speaker Polk system. I have 4 db652 speakers and 2 db692 speakers with a Cerwin Vega B54 amp. Even at highway speed my music is crystal clear and I don’t have to turn the volume up to the max. Polk has made a believer out of me again. I’ll be putting 2 692’s and 2 652’s on my wife’s Road King next. I wish it had just a touch more bass but I’m fine with the sound because bass is hard to hear while riding anyway.

These are an exact replacement for Sony XSMP1621 6 1/2-Inch coaxial 2-way Marine Speaker which were an exact replacement for the older Sony XS-MP61 speakers. By exact replacement I mean the 4 hole and 3 hole patterns are identical and the connectors are identical as well. I could not find this information anywhere and the new Sony speakers are just junk. The cones do not last at all so do yourself a favor and get these!Power handling is similar and the sounds reproduction is as well with the exception that these have more clarity and range especially on the high end. The base is pretty much the same, OK but it is a 6.5″ speaker so you can’t expect it to be great like having a sub.

I waited long top do a review because I had to wait for my motorcycle rear speaker pods… the speakers are phenomenal… the noice is crisp, clear and sweet. I now have 4 speakers on teh bike, all 4 are polk, marine quality. Love them. No need to spend hundreds for speakers.
