It all started in the 1950s, with Darrell Lowrance and his efforts to use transistorized sonar technology to detect fish. The unit is smaller in size than I’d prefer but the price was just outstanding. We get all the info we need to catch fish and while bells and whistles and multiple scan techs are awesome, they just aren’t needed. I can see fish, structure, depths, temps and the image is viewable in bright sunlight or moonless nights chasing flatheads.

Worked well and easy to work. Not sure about the accuracy. I was in 3 feet of water and it said I was in 11 feet. I call Lowrance and a tech told me several things to try. The bottom was very muddy so maybe it wasn’t hitting a hard surface. It worked perfect at different locations.
