How did we get our start?
It all began back in 2010. Smartphones were just starting to take off and navigation apps were becoming a part of everyday life. The concept was simple, but innovative: design a product that makes navigating on your smartphone while driving safer and easier. From this novel idea came a line of best-selling car mounts.
What makes our products unique?
All of our products are designed from the ground up by our team of engineers in New York City. By treating each new product as a work of art, we hope to change the way people interact with and feel about tech accessories.

Hello all. So…I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max, and it’s *just* horsey enough now to not fit in spaces well (cupholders, for instance). And I’ve always wanted some kind of phone mount and have never been motivated enough to actually take the time to find the right one, etc.I first tried a couple of different ones from a big box store, you know…hey, it’s right there, let’s just try it…and they were both terrible. One was basically a cupholder plug with a mast coming out of it, and the other was a ‘stick this in the air vent’ joint and I thought they both sucked, flimsy, unsteady, junk. Both returned. This iOttie thing, thus far, it’s really near perfect, I love it. I feel fancy now. I kid, but only a little. The suction cup mount has held perfectly over a week of driving and railroad tracks and bumps, and I have the arm extended all the way out, and down, so it’s exerting pretty decent leverage on the suction cup with the phone mounted and weighing it down. You can easily adjust the mount it to hit the wireless sweet spot on the phone perfectly. Push the phone onto it, and a little button on the back pad releases the side grabbers which hold the phone snug, whether vertically, or if you turn it horizontally. Then to release, you grab a couple of other little side levers of sorts and they push the grabber bars out again and lock open for the next time you mount it.I really was only interested in the ‘hold this thing up for me’ aspect of it, just to have maps running while going to my many work destinations, but the wireless charging thing is fantastic. Also, the lighter socket plug has its own USB port, so in other words, you can plug this in and charge the phone and still plug another device into that plug. Which I haven’t (yet) done.Maybe I’ll come back cursing if the suction cup fails me and the thing goes flying, but as I said, so far, perfect, tight, all good. I have a Highlander Hybrid Limited, the dash is not super smooth but certainly not bumpy, and it does have a little bit of a convex hump, and a little fiddling around with the right spot, as I said, produced a tight connection. One small note: this thing came with basically a little hard plastic disk, a mounting plate, with the idea being that I suppose you could mount that first, and then take the suction cup off and on again as you wish, or maybe switch cars or locations…I don’t know. Anyway, that thing had almost zero adhesive on it and fell off immediately, so I just don’t use it.I’d say buy this with confidence and it wasn’t a lot of money.

Pixel 3 owner here, so if you care about that specific phone, read on:So, big question, does this “fast wireless charge” the phone? Answer: It won’t display the “fast” part, but my tests show me that I am getting the 10w speeds.[EDIT/UPDATE: I found why I was having inconsistent results, heat. I have it mounted in the windshield and it’s summertime, I found both the device and the phone quite warm while it was having trouble charging quickly. I directed one of my vents at it with cold AC, I now get 1200mah charging rate consistently. I left the original review below but wanted to add this.]Full answer: I bought this because I have worn out my USB C port. I get in and out of my car a lot for a second job, and use GPS frequently. I needed something that could keep up the charge with GPS and screen running, but Google hampered their own device by going with some proprietary standard instead of the normal. I’ve been waiting nearly 2 years for a cheaper wireless charge device, but they disappointed me.Suddenly, and without fan-faire, this exact brand shows up on the Google store, and even more so it’s claiming 10w charge ability. Looking at the specs of the Google stand, it says the same rate. Great, finally a less expensive option. But in reading reviews here, it’s all over the place on if it fast charges or not. I took a chance. And I’m slightly confused by the end of my testing. But, the bottom line, most of the time I’m charging at about a 1000mah rate using Ampere to measure. But sometimes it measures much lower, even lower than 500mah. And sometimes the percentage of my phone battery display doesn’t make sense with either of them. Let me explain: I’ve connected it, had it indicate wireless charging, and in this example it was at 86% already. Ampere reported 120mah. The lock screen told me it was going to take 47 minutes to reach full charge. I didn’t touch it, just let it run, but with the screen off so I couldn’t see Ampere. Then it steadily ticked upwards on percentage and down on time. Suddenly it was at 88% and 36 minutes to full charge, but it had been only 2 minutes. Then it was at 89% and 109 min to full charge, then 90 with 15 min to full charge.Once in a long while, it’ll say charging, but still tick down while in use or stay steady while idle. Taking it off the mount and putting it back on results in much faster charging. Most times I can start it charging, and it will charge at a rate of about 7% in 10 minutes of driving with the screen off. That puts it on par with the fast wireless charger by Google.I don’t know why I see the inconsistency, however I can state that this regularly pushes better than any other wireless charger I’ve tried that’s not made by Google. The few moments of oddity, and that it won’t say fast-charge, are strange for sure, but I’m blaming Google on that one more than this product. My educated guess is that Google pushed some update which allows some chargers to put out similar charge to their proprietary wireless charger, but don’t want to make a big deal about it since it was a bad choice to begin with. The non-google Pixel 3 stuff:- It’s an excellent windshield mount, utterly unmovable without a lot of dedicated force.- The one-hand clamp works fine, although I wish it didn’t snap shut like it does.- The included charger works fine, the extra port is low power but work ok for smaller devices like bluetooth headsets.

The media could not be loaded. I think the design and materials on this car mount are impeccable! Add in wireless FAST charging and this iOttie car mount can’t be beat. I was a bit concerned about the $50 price tag; however, I do believe it’s worth the money if you want a sturdy dependable mount.I could tell from the packaging that I was dealing with a company that takes pride in its products. When I held each component, the specific weight (how heavy an item feels compared to its size) was spot on. Each component (even the small car charger and cable) had a nice quality feel and were heavy for their size. In electronics, weight equates to quality build and quality components. The instructions made sense and I appreciated the little insert that warned folks about mounting this to a car that is known to have a soft dashboard. So if you have certain Toyota or Lexus vehicles, you may want to opt to a windshield mount.I really liked the telescoping feature because I am short and thus have short arms. The telescoping adjustment allowed me to position my phone even closer to me than the stereo and climate controls. Also, the ball joint on the cradle allows me to easily rotate/tilt the phone to my liking. The wireless charging feature is something I had never seen in a car mount and I was a bit skeptical on whether it would actually work. This is mostly due to some other reviews I saw on YouTube. However, after further inspection, I noticed that some folks weren’t even using the charging equipment provided with the mount. I can say that for my Samsung Galaxy S10+ the included cables and charger worked perfectly for fast charging. Also, I was pleased with the length of the included charging cable. I also like the fact that the car charger had an extra USB slot to charge another device at the same time. I also love being able to press my phone into the cradle and have it snap into place. There is no need to fiddle around and make adjustments because the one touch button instantly secures your phone! There were a few minor improvements I would suggest on this mount. First, if there is a way to provide some sort of cushioning or stabilization for bumps then that would be great. That’s because I have the telescoping arm fully extended and sometimes this causes a little jiggle…but it’s not too terrible. Also, it would be nice to be able to adjust the bottom part of the cradle left and right to account for audio cables. However, I do understand that most phones equipped w/ wireless charging will most likely NOT have an audio jack at the bottom.Overall, I’m very pleased with the mount. I think the price is a bit on the high side. However, the quality and features help me feel better about the price.

This is overall a nice wireless charger. My wife has had some problems with the phone overheating and stopping charging with her Samsung S9 but I have had few problems with this with my Samsung S10. My main problem is that the micro-USB plug only fits halfway into the socket. And I don’t notice that it’s come out a bit and my phone battery is draining instead of charging. Hope they will change the micro-USB plug on the next version so it goes all the way into the socket. I kludged a bit of a fix by wrapping some 1/4 inch (6 mm) electrical tape around the black plastic part of the micros USB plug 15 times, extending a bit over the metal part of the micro-USB plug that won’t fit into the micro-USB socket. This allows the now-thicker plastic part of the plug to fit firmly into the plastic surrounding the micro-USB socket and helps prevent it from wiggling loose. UPDATE: I upgraded this to a five-star review. My kludge didn’t work very well, so I contacted the iOttie’s tech support. It was one of the best tech support experiences I have ever had. The sent me a new unit. I left my existing mount on the windshield, and plugged in the new USB plug. It hasn’t come out since. Very satisfied with this mount.***Update: the above was for the prior non-Qi version without the automatic clamp. I have the original five stars, the automatic clamping version one star, and the Qi fast wireless charging version of this five stars. Amazon thinks that I am reviewing the non-Qi original version, whatever, they both get five stars. I found that the original non-Qi version would basically power the phone but not charge it while using Google Maps with the screen on all the time, as I often do. This version will slowly charge – it charged 9% in about two hours on the road. But unlike the original, my phone didn’t overheat and reboot. The Qi protocol must be more careful about overheating. I did find that if I plugged a fast-charging USB C cable into the bottom, attached to an Anker PowerIQ 3 car charger, it did in fact charge pretty quickly. I will use the wireless charging around town, which at least keeps the battery from being depleted, and plug the USB cable in the bottom on long trips.

I used this in my old car and loved it! I wish I could use it in my new car but it wont fit. Over time it does get worn out with driving but overall is great! Fast charging and easy to install.

This was very easy to install and super easy to use. I have it mounted on my windshield and love the ease of placing and removing my phone. It also has a slot at the base that allows a dongle to connect to the bottom of the phone and allow me use of my hardwired head phones. Great device.

I liked the strong suction cup, and its flexibility to be positioned in a wide variety of ways. The support hooks prevent the phone from slipping out unlike other IOTTIE mounts. The wireless charge is strong, and keeps my phone at 100% even while using navigation apps. One thing that IOTTIE could improve is the location of the status light. It’s always BEHIND the phone, and most of the time completely hidden unless you are willing to contort yourself in the drivers seat. (I wouldn’t recommend that while driving) If it overheated and changed to RED, you’d never know until you took your phone out.Overall, I’m quite happy with it.

I’ve had a couple of other iPhone holders for my car and like this one much better than the previous ones. It holds the phone firmly, releases it easily, and charges on the go. I had tried ones that fit into the air vent, but they are kind of dicey and unreliable. I used the adhesive disk to mount this one on the dash just under my rear view mirror. It is a convenient position and holds firmly. I’ve been using it for a few months now and am very happy with it.

This charger works with all wireless charging phones I use on new iPhone 15 Pro Overall best car wireless charger and stand especially at price point stand holds phone securely , and it also changes with my maybat maverick full case without needing to remove case. As far as charging speed it works great for me since I’m only using to top off or charging when phone is low.
