I woke up this morning, and decided to get to work and install my newly ordered boat radio that I bought a week ago. Yesterday, I opened up the package and quickly breezed through the typical wiring instructions, and then looked at the mounting instructions. I did not have a hole cut in my boat console yet, so I went to the hardware store and purchased a 3″ hole saw for my power drill. So this morning I cut the hole, cleaned the area, mounted the radio in about 25 minutes, then wired the radio. I turned on my radio switch on my rocker panel and it came right on. I tuned to a station and it sounded great, and clear. My other radio did not have near the reception that this radio gets. Then I got my phone out, and linked it to the radio…super easy.It is only day one, but so far, hands down, best boat radio ever!

Install was simple, controls are basic and easy to use while riding. Has everything I needed.

I installed the MGR350B in the dash of my Ranger bass boat where I removed an inoperable round Lowrance Depth Flasher. It fit perfectly in the hole without any additional cutting. I used 8 gauge Boss amp wire kit and connected it to a small Sony Xplod 250w two channel amp and used 2 Boss three way 6×9’s in carpeted boxed resting on the floor under the 2 steering/passenger consoles. This head unit’s Bluetooth connects with my Samsung note 8 phone faster than any other device I have ever paired with it. There is plenty of full range sound and way more volume than I need. I feel I could easily connect 2 more speakers to this radio and amp combo and it would sound even better, but there is no need to, the pair of 6×9’s are excellent. I have used boss speakers in 3 boats now and they all performed well. I recommend this radio if you need a round one. This is the first vehicle radio I have ever installed myself and the instructions were good, but I also watched a few YT videos to increase my knowledge before hand.

All the bad reviews are right there is moisture that gets in it but the radio works fine and when the sun hits it, it goes away it doesn’t bother me as long as it still works and I haven’t had a problem with it.

Super easy installation. Replaced speedometer in my Caribe DL11 with this unit. Fit perfectly as described. Wiring was straightforward and simple. Connected to 2 Kicker 50watt speakers (see pic) and unit is almost too powerful for them. Maybe should have gone with higher watt speakers? Bluetooth comes right back onto my phone – though it takes a second. Volume comes on at same level as when I turned it off. Only using Bluetooth so haven’t tried any other features. Looks good. Solid build and quality. Mine did come with the rubber boot/cover that u will use when washing boat. Perfect dinghy set up. Rocks WAY louder than the Bluetooth speaker I was using.

The first on I received didn’t work at all, I had it replaced and the new one was at within two days. The new one works great, and hopefully it will last for years.

Bought the first one 5 years ago. Lives in a harsh saltwater environment on the bay boat. Not complaining of five years of use! Left channel went out. Bought the same one again! For the price and performance, best I’ve found!

Well I am not much of a reviewer but this time I wanted to write something about this radio. I got it very fast and since I couldn’t install it immediately I decided I was going to test it at home with a speaker box I had and an external power supply. The speakers used in this test where 2 pioneer 6×9 4 way 350W speakers, and the power supply provides 13.8V at 22 amps (it doesn’t draw that much current for sure). Well let me tell you that this little radio can move the speakers very well, and it is loud. I measured the sound pressure originated at 3ft with a white noise file and it measured 88db, if I put a sound track on the peak was at 90db at 3ft. Now for me that is more than enough power. Now the units gets hot in very little time when you push it near the max volume, and since the back is all sealed up, and the cover is plastic, I hope that overheating doesn’t start to be a problem. Operation is very easy and BT pairing is as easy as it gets. I hope to install it on the boat soon enough and if it works as good as it did home I am sure that this is a winner.
