March 2022 free PS Plus games revealed

Every month, PS Plus subscribers get access to up to three free games to download and keep on your PlayStation console forever. While all of the games are available on PS5, one is usually a PS5 exclusive, so gamers on the current-gen PS4 unfortunately need to check which games they can download. Either way, we’re not gonna say no to monthly freebies, right? So let’s get into which titles you can get your (virtual) hands on in March 2022.

All of this month’s free PS Plus games — March 2022

The two PS4-compatible PS Plus games for March 2022 will take you from the prehistoric lands of ARK: Survival Evolved to the high-speed tracks of Team Sonic Racing. Meanwhile, PS5 owners can also pick up cyberpunk slasher Ghostrunner.

ARK: Survival Evolved (PS4 and PS5)

In a fitting homage to the Horizon series, following February’s release of Horizon Forbidden West, the first of March’s free PS Plus games is ARK: Survival Evolved. If you like the gameplay of Horizon Zero Dawn and Forbidden West, chances are you’ll get on well with ARK, too, as it’s no secret there are similarities between the two. Gather Resources, craft equipment and, above all, survive in a prehistoric land bustling with dinosaurs and mythical creatures.

Team Sonic Racing (PS4 and PS5)

In contrast to the primitive survival of ARK, Team Sonic Racing provides a gameplay experience a little more fast-paced for those who don’t want to be left to survive against the environment. Put the pedal to the metal and burn rubber as some of your favorite Sonic the Hedgehog characters, including Sonic, Knuckles and Amy. Team Sonic Racing gameplay will feel familiar to anyone who’s played any character-based team racing game, such as Crash Team Racing or Mario Kart.

Ghostrunner (PS5)

Finally, get your hands dirty in the blood-soaked slasher Ghostrunner. As Jack the Ghostrunner, get ready to take revenge against the dangerous tyrant Mara the Keymaster – and those trying to get in your way – with your choice of a number of deadly katanas. Ghostrunner is only available as a free PS Plus games to those on PS5 consoles, and the offer is not available for Ghostrunner for PS4.
