Leica has released another of its cameras in the olive-green “Reporter” suit. This time, you can get the Q2 Monochrom in this special “outfit,” and it’s not even a lot more expensive than the basic version.
To remind you, Leica already has the M10-P and the regular Q2 in this version. But it’s a pleasant surprise that the Q2 Monochrom doesn’t cost $300 or even $1,000 more than the basic version, like the Q2 and the M10-P respectively.
In terms of specs, there’s really nothing new to say if we want to compare the Q2 Monochrom and the new Q2 MOnochrom Reporter. They are both full-frame compact cameras with a 47.3MP monochrome sensor. As the name suggests, you can only take black-and-white photos with them. The only difference is on the outside, with the Q2 Monochrom being all-black, and the Q2 Monochrom Reporter being covered with olive-green Kevlar covering for higher endurance.
