Bedding manufacturer Kingsdown will further expand its mattress offerings with the introduction of its new Insignia collection at the upcoming Winter Las Vegas Market. The collection is designed to offer retailers a mattress that features an ideal combination of high-performance comfort foams and premium coil innerspring support.
Launching with six-models, the collection features a combination of over 1,000 wrapped coils and luxury gel-infused foam. Every model includes the company’s Full Body Surround® Edge Support System which uses high-density foam on all sides of the mattress to provide a fully usable edge-to-edge superior sleep surface. Top tier models also include a layer of Phase Change Material (PCM) which works to provide a dynamic response to temperature. This combination of advanced technologies helps ensure a cool and comfortable night’s sleep.
For this collection, Kingsdown has invested in equipment specifically designed to quilt dense foams directly to the mattress cover. The innovative scroll quilting artfully stitches the fabric up to two inches in the uppermost comfort layer. This technique helps to not only resist body impressions, but also creates several unique quilting designs.
“The hybrid mattress sector continues to grow in popularity with retailers and consumers looking for the benefits of multiple support and comfort features. New equipment and technology are giving us the opportunity to innovate with new components and constructions, which is what excites us about the new Insignia collection,” said Frank Hood, president and chief executive officer of Kingsdown.
