Godox has announced their newest RGB tube light, the Godox TL120. It joints the Godox TL60, announced at the end of 2020, as well as the diminutive Godox TL30 in the Godox tube light lineup. It offers largely the same specs as the Godox TL60, with a 2700-6500 colour temperature range and a CRI and TLCI of 96 and 98 respectively. It features RGB with HSI control and 40 built-in filter presets.
It also offers remote control from your smartphone over Bluetooth, WiFi, DMX or wireless DMX, 0-100% dimming and full RGB control, an integrated battery and a silent passive cooling system. In fact, the only major difference between the Godox TL120 and TL60 is its length, coming in at just under 4ft long or 1.17 metres.
The new Godox TL120 expands the possibilities of how you can use the Godox tube lineup in your photography and video sessions, allowing for longer lights with brighter output at an overall reduced cost. Approximately twice the size of the Godox TL60, they’re nowhere near twice the price, with the TL120 only adding $60 to the TL60’s $239 price tag bringing your total up to $299 for the single light kit.
Alternatively, if you plan to get a bunch, there’s also a four-light kit for $1,299, which quadruples everything up. The four-light kit actually costs $100 more than buying four single light kits separately, but it comes with a much stronger hardshell case instead of the single soft bag of the one-light kit to keep everything together and safer during transport as well as the Godox RC-R9 remote control as well as power supply holders – which aren’t included at in the single-light kit.
On internal batteries, you’re going to get up to two and a half hours of use at 100% brightness, so if you don’t need them turned up all the way, they’re going to last a while. You get the rull range of RGB values at your fingertips as well as gels and a bunch of FX modes that you can access through the smartphone app in just a tap or two.

The Godox TL120 Tube light is available to pre-order now for $299 in a single light kit or $1,299 for the four-light kit. There doesn’t appear to be any word yet on when they’re expected to start shipping, although I expect it’ll be within the next couple of months.
