Destiny 2: Where to find Xur for the weekend of February 25

[ad_1]

Seasoned Destiny 2 players know they can count on the elusive merchant Xur to make an appearance with special exotic items every Friday, but what’s not so clear is where you’ll be able to find him. Below, you’ll find a map with a marker that indicates where Xur is, as well as a list of his wares.

Who is Xur?

If you’re new to Destiny 2 and need a bit more information about how this works, you should know that Xur is a special vendor who sells exotic weapons and armor. Each week, he comes to the solar system with a slate of goods, including an exotic weapon and one piece of exotic armor for each character class. As of The Witch Queen, he now stocks legendary armor and weapons and sells additional exotic weapons with random rolls every week.

Where to find Xur (February 25 to March 1)

The trouble with Xur is finding him. We always know when Xur will show up — at the 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET reset each Friday. The question is where Xur will be. Previously in Destiny 2, Xur’s location was marked on the map. He’s now unmarked and harder to find each weekend. Here’s where to go to track down Xur, the Agent of the Nine, as well as everything you need to know about what he’s offering this week.

This week, you can find Xur on the EDZ. Load into the Winding Cove landing zone and head straight north from there. You’ll eventually reach a rocky cliffside, which you can jump up. Xur will be perched at the top of that cliff, ready to sell you some exotics.

Here is the exact location:

Xur’s wares for this week

Sunshot — 29 Legendary Shards: If you’ve always been jealous of Hunters’ Golden Gun super, Sunshot is about as close as you can get to mirroring that ability. This fun hand cannon shoots explosive solar rounds. It’ll also mark any targets that take damage from the weapon.

Skull of Dire Ahamkara (Warlock) — 23 Legendary Shards: If Nova Bombs are your super of choice, Skull of Dire Ahamkara is a must-own exotic. This helmet grants you additional damage resistance while using your Nova Bomb, making it easier to cast successfully. Nova bomb kills will also grant you super energy, giving you a nice energy cycle.

Lucky Pants (Hunter) — 23 Legendary Shards: Are you a hand-cannon enthusiast? Then it’s time to put on your Lucky Pants. These exotic Hunter legs will allow you to ready your hand cannons faster and make them more accurate after you swap them in, too. Not only that, but they’ll make it so your precision hits will load a round into your holstered hand cannon’s chamber.

Doom Fang Pauldron (Titan) — 23 Legendary Shards: Doom Fang Pauldron is a perfect match for Titans who rely on void abilities. When sentinel shield is active, these gauntlets recharge your shield throw when you get a melee kill. Outside of your super ability, void melee kills will grant super energy while wearing these.

Exotic Cipher Quest — Xenology: Exotic Ciphers are items that allow players to obtain older exotic weapons. Every week, Xur will sell one exotic quest, which awards an exotic cipher. You can hold only one exotic cipher quest at a time, so make sure to clear out anything you have in progress so you can buy a new one every week. This week, players will get the Xenology quest, which requires you to clear strikes as well as win Crucible or Gambit matches.

In addition, Xur will also sell the following weapons each week as of The Witch Queen. They will have random rolls every week. Both guns cost 125,000 glimmer, 200 legendary shards, one exotic cipher, and one ascendant shard

Hawkmoon: Hawkmoon was one of the best hand cannons in the first Destiny, and it’s still a beast in Destiny 2. When you get precision kills with this gun, you gain stacks of charges. The final shot in your clip will do more damage based on how many charges you’ve stored. Headshot a bunch of thralls, and your last shot will do mega-damage. You just can’t stow the weapon mid-clip or you’ll lose your stacks.

Dead Man’s Tale: Dead Man’s Tale is an exotic scout rifle with some similarities to Hawkmoon. If you chain precision hits together, you’ll cause more damage. That will also reduce your load speed, so you’ll want to keep a steady aim with this gun to get the most bang for your glimmer.
