[ad_1]

Cosina has announced the details of its new Nokton D35mm F1.2 APS-C lens, which was developed and manufactured under a licensing agreement with Nikon to provide full electronic connectivity with compatible Z-mount camera systems.

The lens, which is designed for APS-C Nikon Z-mount cameras but will also work with full-frame Z-mount cameras in DX format, is constructed of eight elements in six groups, including an extra-low dispersion element. Other features include a 12-blade aperture diaphragm, a minimum focusing distance of 30cm (12”) and a 46mm front filter thread.

Unlike most Cosina lenses, the Nokton D35mm F1.2 features built-in contacts and an accompanying chip, which allows communication between the lens and the camera it’s attached to. In addition to providing EXIF information to be written to the files, this also means in-body image stabilization in compatible Z-mount cameras will work with this lens, as well as various focusing features. The lens measures 65.8mm (2.6) in diameter, 41mm (1.6”) long and weighs 230g (8.1)

Below are a collection of sample images, provided by Cosina:

The Cosina Nokton D35mm F1.2 is expected to retail for 83,000 / $720 when it starts shipping in March 2022. All orders come with front and rear lens caps, as well as a screw-on lens hood and cloth carrying case.
