Edward C. Kulbis –
I bought this for a second bike so I don’t have to keep swapping the mount back and forth. This is the same as the OEM mount that comes with your Garmin radar. It’s a bit pricey for what you get but as most Garmin things, I don’t expect any problems with it and it should continue to work great.

Great product , fast shipping
Mr. Fix-it / Engineer –
Garmin Varia / Radar unit is now securely mounted to my aero seat post. I was a little nervous about using the o-rings / rubber bands to retain the unit but it is rock solid and I have zero concerns. Potential design improvement would be to add a little tether so if the rubber o-rings deteriorate over the years and fail, you don’t lose your tail light / radar unit.
Armen Kasparian –
Great to promote saver biking, especially for a hearing challenged senior. Some things to be aware of: full charge takes around 6 hours, instructions not really clear about light options and battery life much improved on one of the blinking rather than steady light options.
DrDDD –
Finally, Garmin has a mount that actually fit my D-shape seat post on my S-Works Roubaux. Previous versions were close, but did not fit, so if I hit a bump in the road, my Varia would usually have to be turned a little to get back into position. In the years I have mounted some Garmin products with their O-rings, they’ve never failed, although I wish their was a more secure system. I change out out the O-rings annually.
Fleonardo –
It does what is supposed to do which is securing the tail light.
Paul –
Works great to mount the Varia radar on an Aero seat post. I was surprised that the band could stretch enough to fit on my Cervelo P3 seat post. I put on two of the large bands just for security. I’ve used it for two years on my Cervelo with no issues, and needed another one for my road bike aero seat post.
Julie in Austin –
My Varia radar has become an essential piece of safety equipment, and with 4 bikes I routinely ride on the road, I needed more mounts. I’ve tried seat post mounts, but with other things already mounted on the seat post, I was looking for something to mount on a seat stay. The right combination of inserts and bands can be a little tricky, but once you find the correct combination, you’ll have a sturdy place to mount your Varia radar.
Electech –
This is the same mounts that come with the OEM Varia package. Three inserts, one base and two bands. Ordered this to add to new bike so I only have to swap Varia to whichever bike I ride for the day.
