I use a WD backup disk for my desktop, but the cord that came with it is measured in inches, not feet! As such I could only place the disk on top of the desktop cabinet, which is in a confined location on the desk. I always told my wife that in an emergency, GRAB THE BACKUP DISK! Unfortunately, the disk couldn’t be seen unless you got on your knees to look inside the cubby hole the computer was in. This cord (6′) allows me to place the backup disk where it is easily seen, and grabbed if necessary.It is a heavy, thick cord that works perfectly. It fit my WD My Passport disk just like the supplied one, and works perfectly.

I used this to replace the USB cable that came with my Nikon D810. I’d been using it regularly for nearly a decade to import photos, and the connection finally became poor to where I had to apply pressure to the cable to get my computer to recognize it. Absolutely no issues with this new cable whatsoever. If it lasts even half as long as the original, I will consider it a good value.

These connectors fit great for my camera and card connector. Transfer speed also has been great, last cable did not move data as quickly.
