The highly anticipated Elden Ring has almost arrived, and we’ve got the best pre-order deals so you can get your hands on the latest Action-RPG developed by FromSoftware and co-written by George R R Martin of Game of Thrones fame. This expansive open-world promises hundreds of hours of exploration, action and fear, and it’s probably the only thing that anyone’s going to be talking about for the next couple of weeks. So, unless you want to sit behind the curve, check out where you will be able to get the cheapest pre-order offers for Elden Ring before the game launches this Friday.
Best pre-order deals for Elden Ring
With different pre-order bonuses for where you may have picked up the game, you can get Elden Ring on one of several editions at launch, each with its own benefits, based on the territory you might be in. The Collector’s Edition of the game sold out many months ago, so you’ll have to rely on the launch editions that you can still get, instead. Either way, we’ve rounded up exactly where you will be able to get the cheapest pre-order from. Regardless of bonuses or Collector’s Editions, it’s still going to be the same game at the end of the day.
Elden Ring pre-order bonuses & every version listed
If you pre-order Elden Ring, you will be able to get access to one of several bonuses, depending on where you might be able to pre-order the game from. These are nice little additions to the base game that you will be able to use in-game, and on your journey, or are nice little collectables as follows:
- ‘The Ring’ bonus gesture
- Digital Adventure Guide
- Steelbook Case (Best Buy only)
- Spectral Steed Whistle replica (Gamestop only)
It’s unfortunate to see that the Steelbook and Whistle are restricted to American retailers only, but in Europe, there is the launch edition of the game, which comes with a handful of nice little bonuses if you manage to pre-order the game in advance.
What’s included in the Elden Ring Launch Edition?
The Launch Edition, released in Europe features a number of additions to the package that you will be able to get for no further cost. This Elden Ring pre-order includes things that don’t give you an edge in-game, but instead collectables that you can enjoy, to boot. This is in addition to the usual pre-order bonuses you get, so you’ll still be able to get the Digital Adventure Guide in addition to the in-game bonus gesture ‘The Ring’. It makes for a really lovely, cohesive package, considering it’s pretty much the ‘Standard’ release of the game in that region.
- Three Exclusive Art cards depicting scenery in The Lands Between
- A woven patch featuring the Elden Ring itself
- Three stickers, fashioned from ingame emblems
- An exclusive poster featuring a ‘Hero from the past’
What’s included in the Elden Ring Collector’s edition?
If you were lucky enough to pre-order to Collector’s Edition of Elden Ring, then you will be able to get yourself all of these goodies, in addition to a copy of the game on the platform that you pre-ordered on.
- Statue of Malenia – Blade Of Miquella (9 Inches tall)
- Steelbook
- 40-page hardcover artbook
- Digital Soundtrack
While some of these additions won’t help you out in the game itself, these are fantastic collectables that you can only get if you’ve previously pre-ordered the game. Unfortunately, the Collector’s Edition is long sold out at all retailers, so you’ll have to turn to sites like eBay if you were to want to get your hands on this edition of the game, sadly.
What’s included in the Elden Ring Premium Collector’s Edition?
As an exclusive for the Bandai Namco store, there is an additional edition of the game available, which will net you a fantastic package for the truly hardcore FromSoftware fans out there. It comes with probably one of the coolest bits of gaming memorabilia you can get your hands on, which happens to be a 1:1 scale replica of Malenia, Blade of Miquella’s helmet. She’s featured all over the shop in marketing materials and promotional imagery, so we can’t wait to find out exactly what role she plays in the final game itself. The items included in this Elden Ring pre-order includes all of the goodies that you’d usually get, and the helmet bolted on top, as listed below:
- 1:1 scale replica helmet
- Exclusive Steelbook
- 40-page hardcover artbook
- Statue of Malenia, Blade of Miquella
- Digital Soundtrack
What’s included in the Elden Ring Digital Deluxe Edition?
If you’re not too keen on getting a bunch of plastic into your house, a box, or even any of the little collectable trinkets, a digital deluxe edition of the game is also available from select retailers and console storefronts, however, the asking price and value of what you get do appear to be a little bit meagre by comparison to the rest of the excellent editions of the game that are available for purchase. You might want to skip out on this Elden Ring pre-order.
Elden Ring free next-gen upgrade
If you’re looking to save some cash, you can always pre-order the PS4 version or Xbox version of the game, which could potentially be had for a smaller cost on the old-gen consoles, and get an upgrade to the next-gen version to play on your incredibly fancy Playstation 5 or Xbox Series console for completely free. We’re still light on details on what additions the next-gen version of the game has, such as performance or resolution, but we expect those details to come out as we get our hands on the game as it releases for a proper technical analysis. But, it should also go without saying, if you get the next-gen versions of the game, it’ll probably look and run a whole lot better than the previous base console versions of the game.
Additionally, we do not know if there are a number of performance modes available on the next-gen versions of the game, so you will just have to make sure that you get the best possible version you can when you get your Elden Ring pre-order.
What platforms is Elden Ring on?
Elden Ring will be released on Xbox (One, One X, Series S and Series X) in addition to Playstation 4, Playstation 5 and PC. There is no cross-play functionality for the game based on platforms. You’ll just need to stick to your console for multiplayer. So if you’re looking for your friends to have a multiplayer experience in The Lands Between, you’ll need to make sure you’re all on the same platform. If you’re unsure whether or not you should pick up the game, a trailer happily summarised everything that you can expect to find in Elden Ring. Pre-order now and don’t miss out on this grand adventure.
Looking for more on Elden Ring? Don’t sweat it, we’ve got a load of stuff to help you for your journey into The Lands Between.
