Are we really already asking when Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 starts? It doesn’t seem like all that long ago that we were stranded out at sea, waiting for Fortnite Chapter 3 to begin. Having been dramatically thrown from a tilting island, us Loopers were floating ever closer to the new-old map just visible on the horizon. Now, we’re nearly three months into Chapter 3, and with Season 2 looming, will there be a Fortnite end of season event?
Will there be a Fortnite end of season live event?
End-of-season events have become somewhat expected of Fortnite now, and the last season to not have a grande finale was back in Chapter 2, Season 1. So could it be that Season 1 this time around will also lack a cinematic farewell? Well, according to Fortnite leakers, maybe yes. Those clever people who dig around in games’ data files have yet to find anything suggesting a live event on March 19th.
What could happen in the next Fortnite Season?
Well, the obvious answer would be something relating to the Imagined Order. Throughout Chapter 3 Season 1, IO Mole teams have been appearing across Artemis island, having dug their way in. Now, there are sinkholes appearing where the IO has been tampering with the terrain.
And let’s not forget those rockets that The Scientist and The Seven have been launching off the island. Nor The Paradigm, the elusive and un-trusted member of The Seven who is yet to really make her mark in Fortnite lore. Donald Mustard has previously suggested that The Singularity still has a massive part to play in the ongoing story, and that perhaps The Paradigm and The Singularity are the same person. And of course we all want to see more of The Rock in Fortnite.
Really, there’s a lot that could happen between now and the end of Chapter 3, Season 1. And if we don’t get a Fortnite end-of-season live event, perhaps instead we’ll get a small launch event at the start of Season 2. All we can do for now is wait and see…. And get as many Battle Pass levels as possible locked in before the season ends!
When does the new Fortnite season start?
According to the Battle Pass page in-game, Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 will start on March 19, 2022. While the in-game date has been known to change in past Fortnite seasons, there is really no reason to believe there is going to be a delay in the start of Season 2. And, based on past update times, we can assume that Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 downtime will begin on March 19th at approximately 1pm PST/4pm EST/9pm GMT.
