Universal Introduces Nomad to Its Modern Offerings

Universal Furniture continues to expand their modern design offerings with the rollout of Nomad during the Fall 2022 High Point Market. Nomad’s fresh 29 pieces evoke the organic comfort that’s on trend with today’s interior landscapes.

Nomad’s soft and textural fabrics come in three soothing shades: Canberra Ivory, Sheepskin and Solaz (sand). Finishes comprise white oak, white lacquer, linen (in a textured gesso application), and blank slate (textured white finish with the layered look of slate). With curved forms mixed with crisp edges, natural cane, and two-tone finishes, Modern’s new layered and textured products create a haven of relaxation.

Design Standouts:

• Golden Hour Utility Cabinet-It’s a shame to call this piece a Utility Cabinet when there’s so much more to it than storage.  One of the chicest pieces in the collection, its doors feature half-moon shaped double caned inserts in a classic Thonet weave for a bit of textural and visual interest. Measures 40”W x 19-3/8”D x 86”H.

• Colina Bed– Sink into bed with this low-profile wonder, featuring a mattress (sans box spring) with hidden legs and fully upholstered rails. Modern’s floating platform bed keeps a low profile at only 44”H yet demonstrates undeniable style with channel-quilted headboard and footboard.

• Sischo Bench – Update any bedroom with an air of Sheepskin-hued solace and respite. With a White Oak finish, the oak trim fits the seat cushion upholstery like a glove. Standing 54-¼ W x 16”D x 18”H, our bed bench includes removable bolsters, straight slab legs and plastic glides.

• Writing Desk – Waterfall edges add an organic curve to this fashionably functional desk. Pretty yet practical, our Writing Desk comes with White Oak finish and white drawer fronts. The sculptural silhouette measures 56”W x 26”D x 30”H, with a knee hole space.

• Croydon Console – This mixed media piece marries natural elements for a console that’s simple yet chic, with an inset marble top and a slab marble pedestal with mitered corners. The marble is French Riviera Marble, variegated in warm shades of brown, gray and cream with red undertones. Measuring 70”W x 16”Dx 32”H, the Croydon Console looks lovely in any hallway, living room or entryway.

• Nomad Credenza – Your living room’s center of attention deservers a worthy companion. Our Nomad Entertainment Credenza features half-moon shaped double cane inserts in a classic Thonet weave on both doors, two tray drawers, and two adjustable wood shelves, with a coaxial power supply and wire access through the back panel. Finished in white and standing 80”W x 19”D x 34”H, this chic sideboard will take your living room from drab to fab.
