• As mentioned above, today’s Wordle answer is a past participle – i.e. past tense.
• There is only one vowel in today’s word.
• And because it’s a past participle, that vowel is “U”.

Another day, another Wordle – another spoiler warning. Here’s your last chance to turn back before we give away the Wordle answer for May 12, 2022.

Today’s Wordle answer is… SLUNG. Yeah, that’s why plenty have been struggling today. Slung doesn’t even roll of the tongue very nicely, let alone pop into your head voluntarily. Hopefully you were lucky enough to get a good few letters early on, particularly that tricky “U”, to help you out.

The past participle of the word “sling”, “slung” means to have casually thrown something or loosely suspended something in the past. It also means “sling” might have been a sneaky incorrect guess if you didn’t have that “U” ready to go.
