In a week that has seen Wordle’s answer changed multiple times, you’d think we’d be trying to forget the past. Instead – and here’s your first hint – today’s answer is stuck in the past. It’s a bit of a toughie for that reason, too, it’s probably not a word you’d use all that often. So, if you need a helping hand to pull you through today’s Wordle and into the future, we’ve got the hints you need for today’s Wordle, May 12, 2022.
Wordle hints May 12 2022

- You’ll want to use as many vowels as possible in your first guesses today – and every day.
- As always, eliminating letters can be just as important as guessing right.
Specific hints for today’s Wordle answer
- As mentioned above, today’s Wordle answer is a past participle – i.e. past tense.
- There is only one vowel in today’s word.
- And because it’s a past participle, that vowel is “U”.

Another day, another Wordle – another spoiler warning. Here’s your last chance to turn back before we give away the Wordle answer for May 12, 2022.
Today’s Wordle answer is… SLUNG. Yeah, that’s why plenty have been struggling today. Slung doesn’t even roll of the tongue very nicely, let alone pop into your head voluntarily. Hopefully you were lucky enough to get a good few letters early on, particularly that tricky “U”, to help you out.
The past participle of the word “sling”, “slung” means to have casually thrown something or loosely suspended something in the past. It also means “sling” might have been a sneaky incorrect guess if you didn’t have that “U” ready to go.
