One of the biggest fighting franchises of all time is finally getting its much-awaited fifteenth installment. The King of Fighters XV is going to be dropping a little later on in 2022.
It’s been over 5 years since the last entry, so whether you’re a long-time fan or have only just discovered the series you’ll be happy to hear that we know exactly when the game is going to drop.
The King of Fighters XV Release Date
Initially, The King of Fighters XV was tipped for a release at some point during 2021, but due to the worldwide pandemic, SNK had to delay the game until this year. At the time, the developers asked for fans of the game for their patience, as the game still needed more time to polish all of the rough edges.
Now we know that the official release date for the game will be February 17th, 2022 and the game will be coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC. With any luck, that means that the extra development time has also gone into making this the best game in the series so far.
The King of Fighters XV Trailers
Much like the last entry in the series, The King of Fighters XV makes it a lot easier for newcomers who want to get into the game. It features the single-button rush technique, which makes pulling off combos a lot easier.
The game is going to feature 39 fighters, including all of the previous characters in the series, and also comes with some really cool-looking special moves you can pull off against your opponents.
