Web Warriors: A Spider-Man Adventure

Every day, kids have more to explore when they reach their daily 60-minute activity goals, inspiring them to do their very best. With you as their helper, your child will unfold new adventures and explore different dimensions of the Spider-Verse. They’ll soar high above the city alongside Spider-Man, fight Vulture with the help of unexpected allies and track down the Green Goblin once and for all. The more they meet — and exceed — their activity goals, the more of the story they’ll get to see.

Interact with an Action-packed Spider-Verse

In addition to uncovering more adventures with Spider-Man, kids can gain access to fun games and more. Meeting their daily activity goals gives kids more chances to play the tap challenge game. Their fingers will be flying as they race against the clock to make as many matches and rack up as many points as they can before time runs out. By meeting their daily activity goals, kids will also collect gems they can use to restore missing parts of the city on the adventure map. To get more gems and more chances to play the tap challenge, kids will need to keep logging those active minutes.

The Parental Personal Assistant

The mobile app isn’t just for the kids to enjoy. Parents can use it to manage the vívofit jr. 2 fitness tracker. View activity, responsibilities, sleep, chore data and more after syncing with compatible Apple, Android and Amazon Fire Tablet devices. Invite the whole family to compete in a daily step challenge, assign tasks and chores, designate a reward virtual coin value, and find out how many coins each child has. Those in-app coins can be redeemed by your kiddos for agreed-upon rewards. It’s all controlled right from your device.

Rewards, Reminders and Responsibilities

Kids will see just how fun and rewarding household chores can be. With vívofit jr. 2, parents assign chores and schedule alerts from the smartphone app, and kids’ bands show them their new jobs to do. These can be set up to recur weekly or even daily — perfect for children who need reminders. And for youngsters who procrastinate, schedule alerts in the parent app so vívofit jr. 2 reminds them to finish homework, brush their teeth and more. The alert will remind them with an icon what they’re supposed to be doing. Then, the child can start the task timer on the device so they know how long they have left.

Friendly Step Challenges

Friendly competition comes to the playground and the backyard. Toe-to-Toe step challenges let kids sync with nearby friends to challenge each other (one-on-one challenge) — or even themselves — to timed step competitions. Once complete, they’ll see their total number of steps during the challenge and find out if they triumphed over their friends or beat their own personal bests. Your kids can access the app to view results from completed challenges and show off their latest victories. Parents can get in on the fun, too. Download the Toe-to-Toe Connect IQ app to a compatible device to challenge your kids to a step competition.

Stay Active Together

Link up with your Garmin Connect friends and family — and even your kid’s playground pals. When you connect with other families in the vívofit jr. app, they can be part of your weekly step challenges. Create custom step and active minute challenges, then invite participants from your list of connections. You can even leave comments for each other in the app while the challenge is active.

Access Even More Fun

vívofit jr. 2 lets your kids get their hands on more styles and adventures. All they need is a new band to open up a new world of adventures. What’ll it be next? Track activity and engage in galactic adventures with a Star Wars themed band? Show creativity and style with a Minnie Mouse band? Explore magical worlds with a Disney Princess band?

As an adult woman with small wrists, I was having a difficult time finding a fitness tracker that wasn’t huge. I also did not want to spend $100 or more and the cheaper “generic” trackers often were not accurate. I was not interested in a lot of features other than tracking my steps. After trying several that were either too large, wouldn’t sync with my cell phone, or did not track steps accurately, I decided to give this child’s watch a try. I liked the color of this, the reviews were good, and it was less than half the price of most adult fitness trackers. The only issue I have is that the numbers on the small face are difficult to see without my glasses. But the positives are many (including the fact that it never needs to be charged; It has a battery that supposedly lasts a year and I believe it can be replaced.) No one can tell it has a “Frozen” design; It just looks like a small light blue watch. It does have games and features I won’t use like tracking my chores (although maybe that would be a good idea and help with procrastinating!)

This watch is exactly what we were hoping would do. Not only does my 8 year old love it, it has become a very helpful parenting tool. The app and watch are user friendly. My son loves to see his steps, activity goals and chores completed. He uses the timer for every including brushing his teeth. The alarms have probably been one of the most useful tools since it helps him to know that when the timer goes off it’s time to go up to get ready for bed, to wake up in the morning and to get ready for school or come back in from playing. He used to struggle with these but when the watch tells him he can’t argue with that. He loves to surpass his activity goals. And the fact that I can add and reward chores is very helpful as well. This watch has dramatically improved my sons awareness of time management, goal setting and keeping in task. I definitely recommend it. Garmin is a wonderful company. I myself have a Garmin watch and knew I could expect high standards.

We bought this item for our 5 year old sons birthday. We have the star wars version of this watch for our 7 year old son and he has had it for over a year and still loves it. Unfortunately, after only 29 days, this spiderman model broke. The screen just went black for no reason. I contacted Garmin and within 10 minutes of chatting, they had a replacement on its way. We were pleasantly surprised by the excellent customer service.Things we like about this watch:- Chore incentives are great.- Our boys can start “toe to toe” challenges that keep them active and having fun.- I can set reminders for my son while he is at school. For example, I was going to pick him up 30 minutes later on a Tuesday so, the night before, I was able to set a reminder on his watch so he didn’t forget.- They can wear it while they swim.- The sleep tracking is pretty spot on.- Overall, this watch keeps my boys moving and having fun and it has been great product for them. The battery life on my 7 year old sons watch lasted almost one year exactly to the date. Battery replacement was easy and it is still going strong.Things that could be better:-The ability to add reminders to the watch when you don’t physically have the watch nearby so you don’t have to “sync” the watch after each change.-GPS tracking would be great to watch kids get to/from school safely.-The ability to have both watches on one smart phone. For example, my husband keeps my oldest sons app on his phone and I keep our younger sons on mine. In order to see my older sons app, I have to re-sync it to my phone, which kicks my younger sons app off until I re-sync it. Having the ability to have multiple watches on one device would be really helpful.

My daughter prefers the “no charging” .. she is 10, and we just moved her up to a buckle band. Even on the very tightest setting, it is loose for her. She is extremely tiny and long boned build. Her 8 year old cousin could not wear the slip on band, and it eventually went to a 6 year old nephew. She loves the Frozen theme and having racked up a ton of points, ended up reading half of the story on the first day. Otherwise not much change on the app from the Jr and the Jr2.She likes the colors instead of just black/white display. There are more things to earn and more step slides to choose from. The rewards are more interesting. Timers are the same except the new version has more color. She avoids the interactive app and just uses the watch features. She misses her old watch band. She does not like the buckle.Overall, Frozen Watch Garmin Jr.2 is a big win!4 month update : She still loves the watch and watchband. She’s gotten use to the extra space of the buckle band and has grown enough to need to loosen it up. Of course, that is why we bought it in the first place! She loves that she can enjoy the frozen theme – but because it is a pretty color and engraved instead of painted pictures – she looks like she’s wearing a more grown up watch. You have to be pretty close to it to see the engraved pictures.Still very happy with the watch!

Currently potty training my two year old. Liked the idea of a potty training watch to remind him to go every hour or so. However, all of the reviews were terrible (drop of water breaks it, alarm rings at night, stopped working, have to charge every night etc…) so I decided to buy this instead. Thought it would last him a few years, and to be honest a part of me was just curious to find out how many steps my active little toddler takes a day….The watch is easy to set up, looks cute, accurate. I like knowing that even though I spent $20-30 more for this watch than the potty watch, it will last him several years, especially once he can mark the chores on it.Toddler initially was scared of the beeps coming from the watch, but now the first thing he demands when he wakes up in the morning is the watch.

We love this watch. But the battery dies so fast. We’ve returned one, just received the replacement and it’s already dead. Less then 30 days from opening the box.Edited: Garmin has the most amazing customer service. I contacted them directly about a dead battery, and they took very good care of us definitely would recommend Garman products.

I got this for my son when he turned 8- he’s’ had it for nearly a year now and it works great! The app on my phone is easy to use and pairs well to the watch. The battery just died. THE BATTERY IS REPLACEABLE! I read reviews before I bought it saying the battery was not replaceable- it is. You just pop the screen out of the band and unscrew the back- easy! My son has ADHD so we rely on the watch to keep track of time, use timers for tasks and I’ve set several alarms to go off throughout the day to keep him on track with various tasks. The band is pretty big for him- he’s a fairly small kid- he has it on the smallest setting so it will definitely last him for years! I wear a M/L apple watch band (tightened to on the smaller side) and this watch band fits me fine with room to spare! Totally worth the investment!

A mi hija de 7 años le encanta porque puede ver la hora, no pesa y puede tener un récord de sus pasos, movimiento y sueño. Este reloj lo tiene todo!

My girls wanted a “smart watch“. After having a different one that accidentally went into the bath and didn’t survive, it was a must that it had to be “waterproof”.The fact that this doesn’t need to be charged is a bonus!I love that it gives my girls a goal to be “active”. It’s encouraging them to be outside more.I love the chore/reward system on it.1) I can set up their chores on the app to keep me organized.2) I can set reminders on the watch to remind them to do tasks – like brush teeth and feed the pet.3) I can reward them for tasks done (both on the chore list and just edit to give them more coins).4) They can redeem coins for agreed upon rewards. For us this is huge because I was the worst about keeping track… or I would keep track at home but then didn’t know what they had or didn’t have when we went out. It’s now on the phone & goes with us.I also like that there are [limited] opportunities to do challenges with parents if they also have a garmin. Also – another awesome benefit of this watch is the “timer”. We have started using timers with our oldest to help with transitions and time management. This gives her control of setting them & I get an alert on my device that keeps her honest. My girls are 3.5 and 6.5. My youngest can’t do half the things on there (Garmin does recommend for ages 4+) but her sister is really good at helping. It’s perfect for my 6.5 year old.

Got this for my 4 year old son for Christmas because he wanted a watch like mine. He mostly just checks the time with it. He took it off one day and gave it to my husband to hang on to, so he put it in his pocket. Well, we forgot about it and it went through a wash and dry cycle and it still works! I haven’t had to change the battery yet so I can’t comment on that.
