Very impressed with this projector. I debated getting another big screen tv or going with a projector in family room. Glad I went with this LG projector with an 80 inch screen. Have it ceiling mounted and using bluetooth to my Vizio soundbar system. Was worried about 1080p vs 4k but you can’t tell a difference from 10ft away viewing. It has nice bright colors and contrast. The black scenes look better than expected. It does help to put in a darker light controlled room. The picture doesn’t get bright enough in a brighter room. The menu settings are easy to navigate. I am using standard picture mode setting with color temp on warm for movies and tv. Energy saving on medium. The fan is really quiet with that setting. Vivid and sports mode also looks nice with really bold and bright colors if you like the picture brighter. The speaker is very weak sounding but does ok in a pinch. I would use a soundbar. I haven’t noticed any audio sync issues with bluetooth. For the price with having an led bulb with wifi and bluetooth it’s a great deal. I like that it’s portable in case I decide to take it outside. If you want to go big and not spend a ton of money for a large tv this is the way to go.

This is the best LED projector I was able to find on the market right now, and the only one that displays 1080p. Being LED, it turns on and off much quicker than most other projectors and is quieter than others in this price range. Overall, it is a solid, high quality product that is a joy to use for gaming and movies. I use mine for a 120 inch screen (despite the 100 inch limit) on an off-white wall and it still looks great.Pros:Full 1080p resolutionVery low input lag for gamingAuto vertical keystone with no blurGood brightness for a dark roomVery small and portableResponsive remoteQuick to turn on and offLow fan noise (on medium energy saving mode)Low heat producedCon:No zoom feature (if you are mounting it, find out where it needs to go before screwing the mount in place)Wireless display has heavy delay (better to just use an HDMI for movies)Other features:It can play movies and photos directly from a USB stick. It does have built in smart features, but since I have an Amazon Fire TV Stick and a Nintendo Switch, I haven’t used them so I can’t comment on those.

I upgraded to this model from a cheaper $110 unit. Picture quality is 100x better with a sharp, crisp and an even focus over the entire screen. The room needs to be at least semi-dark but the picture is amazing when the room is dark. Plenty of inputs for multiple video sources including a built in ATSC tuner, USB, Bluetooth and 2x HDMI. Has built in speaker which sounds ok but I usually use my surround sound system instead. I recommend.

This is my first projector experience. I had a Wowoto H9 for a very short period of time and returned it because of a critical focus issue and bought this LG PF50KA instead on flash sale. Its been about 10 days since I received it and I am generally very happy with it. No issues with uneven focus on this one. **Updated on 4th week and very important. You can adjust display option. My mistake.**Pro1. Its a major pro. The image quality. To begin with, 1080p (LG PF50KA) is way better than 720p (Wowoto H9). Pixels are easily spotted on the 720p screen but 1080p is smoothly faded with no obvious pixel presence in close inspection.Brightness is really good too. Even in low light settings (in the morning with blinds, in my case when the sun is shining to the opposite direction of the projector screen from around 7am to 3pm), the image is still very bright. But when the sunlight is coming toward the screen (4pm to 7pm), it is not so favorable while still watchable. And obviously, a full light on room is not working for this projector at all and a complete dark room setting at night is the best.2. Smart TV capability. Hulu and Netflix are pre-installed and available on the go. LG contents movies and dramas are easy to navigate too.3. Battery capability. I haven’t moved the projector from its set position yet, but I certainly think I can carry this to another room for movies or outdoors. Not a pocket sized projector but still very much carry-able in your backpack or small designated carriers.4. Wireless connectivity. Works well with my bluetooth headphone. No hassle. Haven’t tested other bluetooth connections like smartphones but there are many more connectivity available via wireless.Con1. No longer a Con. You can adjust display such as contrast, brightness, etc. So disregard this section. **updated**2. Amazon Prime video is not available on the go. The pre-installed Internet browser (Chrome) works well but it does not support Amazon Prime video streaming. Amazon fire stick will probably allow you to watch Amazon Prime videos. I haven’t tried it yet, but it should work.3. Remote control could get better. I got used to it in 2 days but it seemed complicated at first. Too many buttons. Also, the buttons feel a bit too dull, making the whole menu navigation experience feel less crisp. Durability looks good instead.4. No zoom in out or position change. I knew about this before the purchase and it didn’t cause too much trouble, but I’d much prefer to have the feature.Okay1. Fan noise level is okay. When there is sound it is barely noticeable. When there is no sound, it is quite noticeable. But, it did not bother me much for 8 hour straight use even though my projector is placed right next to me. With headphones on, the fan noise is unnoticeable. You can hear the fan running on open can headphones, but only when theres no sound. Not a big problem for me.2. Sound quality and loudness from this tiny projector is actually not bad. It depends on what source you are playing, but with Nintendo Switch hooked on, it gets pretty loud. The projector is set right next to my bed and if I put it over 50% loudness, I lower it down to 35% to 40% in less than 10 minutes because it hurts my ears. Nothing special but clear enough sound. Left right recognition is there, too but not great. Bass is not really there and I did not expect it to be. I think overall sound quality is okay for a small projector. Definitely acceptable. However, the internal speaker won’t be good for Bluray audio or other multi channel support audio media. I played a 12GB movie and the internal speaker just sounded jammed. Foggy and very unclear. I suspect it is due to the amplified bass signals the input source is sending out. Otherwise, everything else worked just fine so far.3. Built-in TV interface. Its alright. Pretty fast to go through menus. Click response time is very short and the operation software has never been slow or draggy for me. Menus look clean and easy to navigate. Fast enough to change through differenct sources, too. Takes only 3 seconds to change from HDMI port#1 to port#2. Have not noticed any lag at all in terms of software interface. Also, the menu orders are customizable. For instance you can put Youtube 1st, HDMI#1 2nd, HDMI#2 3rd, Netflix 4th, etc. You can change pre-set display mode with short key button on the remote control. However, as I mentioned, there are too many buttons on the remote control and the buttons feel dull, rubbery, and somewhat hard. I believe it is made this way for durability, but the fast interface feels slower due to this not so snappy feeling remote control.Final thoughts **updated****I could give this projector 4 stars for not having the display customization**<> but decided give it a 5 stars because of the flash sale (about 100 off). The preset modes aren’t bad either except for the two expert mode for different room situations which I think are pretty useless. The remote control gets on my nerves but its not like they feel cheap or don’t work properly. Just lack some finesse. Overall, I am really glad I bought this 1080p projector over the 720p Wowoto H9.**update**I read someone’s comment and realized you can adjust Contrast, Brightness, H Sharpness, V Sharpness, Color, Tint, Color Temperature, Dynamic Contrast, Super Resolution, Color Gamut, Edge Enhancer, Color Filter, Gamma, White Balance, Color Mnagement System. Wow.

You know the saying you get what you pay for…well this is a great example. I went through 3 other projectors from $100-360 and they all exclaimed brightness and clarity. That was not the case finally bit the bullet and dropped some more cash and it was worth it! Great portability and the ability to connect to a external Bluetooth speaker make this a winner in my book. Did I mention this has amazing video quality!? It does. Almost compares to my $1,500 Sony projector that is 4x as big. Needed portability because I like to travel and going to other peoples houses that have tiny crappy TVs was getting to me.Photos above where from when I first set it up. Which was easy! Great menu system as well. One Con is the remote. Too many buttons and not back lit. Hard to find the button you want unless you look at it. Maybe over time my fingers will remember. Not a deal breaker. Buy it! Hope you found this review helpful!

First impression:It’s compact, built well, and excellent packingI already have a projector, the JMGO N7, what is not perfect, but have good picture quality and brightness, but it’s not portableI was looking for something that have decentBrightness and full HD. I have got theAAXA P7, what actually a really well built andSmall projector with excellent quality imageThe only think I had a problem with is theContrast, and color accuracy, so I send it back.I decided to get the LG PF50KA. The contrastIs just WOW. 100000:1 . In my opinion contrast just as important as high brightness The colors are nice, The image sharp and the brightness is more than enough in a dark room. I did try with daylight, and the image is enjoyable. 600 lumIs perfect with the high contrast. I don’t know How long the battery will last, I be back in a few days…..the operating system is LG’s own system,If you like Amazon, unfortunately you will need a Fire Tv stick or any plugin to HDMIThat support Amazon streaming, becauseLG don’t. Everything else is there like YouTube, or Netflix.Second day :The image Controll is awesome.Individual brightness, contrast, color, gammaGive incredible control over the image.I was able to match the color really closeBetween my laptop and the projector. The battery is about 1 hour and 20 min inHigh, 2 hour in mid and 2 hours and 30 minIn low settings. The resolution is full HDNot interpolation. Meaning: the DLP isTrue 1920 x 1080. I’m really happy withThis projector.Thank you for reading….Back after two years, (March 2021) the projector is still the same and still goin. I’m using it 5-6 hours per day 7 says per week.LOVE IT EVERY DAY.!!!

I tried six of the top-rated full HD, battery-powered, portable projectors and found this one to be the best. Compared with other portable projectors, this has the best picture, most intuitive on-screen menu, and a true 2.5-hour battery life. You can get an additional 2.5 hours of projection time by plugging the LG PF50KA into a portable, rechargeable battery, such as the HALO Bolt 58830 ($110 on Amazon). (5.23.19 UPDATE: One reviewer noted problems with focus; I have not.)CAUTION #1: When comparing projectors, do not be fooled by brightness specifications in the product title or spec section that simply say “lumens” rather than “ANSI lumens.” (ANSI = American Nation Standards Institute). If the specs say “LED lumens” or just “lumens,” please recognize that your are reading advertising, not a real measure of brightness. The LG PF50KA is measured at 600 ANSI lumens. That’s as bright as any battery-powered portable projector on the market today. For apples-to-apples brightness comparisons, you need to know the ANSI lumens of each projector.CAUTION #2: When comparing projectors, be sure to check its “native resolution.” Just as with lumens, there is a lot of advertising fluff that contains abbreviations such as “HD.” Keep in mind that almost all modern projectors can play video files that were filmed at various resolutions, but they will downgrade the fidelity to what the projector’s graphics processor and native lamp capacity are. (Analogy: You can watch a 4K movie on your HD TV, but it will show up in HD, not 4K. You would need a 4K TV to display a 4K movie.) The LG PF50KA has a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 (width x height in pixels) considered “Full HD” by industry standards. It will display a 4K (3840 x 2160) movie at Full HD (1920 x 1080). Always check the “native resolution” of your projector so you know the maximum definition that projector is capable of displaying.

This thing is amazing. It’s plenty bright for all but the most discerning eye, has a decent battery that lasts about 2 hours if you don’t have it on Vivid and maxed the volume, and has both external Bluetooth audio and tons of input options! I’ve used this at home, in a hotel in Mexico, in my backyard with a bedsheet… It’s amazing. The throw is somewhere between standard and short but not so short as to make it unusable with non-tensioned screens. It has been tossed around in airport baggage, moved around 100 times, and I think my dog may have wacked it with her whip of a tail at one point… Keeps on going!Could you spend $500+ more for a slightly better product? Probably. Could you spend $5000+ for a premium product? Definitely. Is this good for a permanent home setup with a dedicated theater system/room? No. Will the AV snobs ever own this? No.But who cares what they think?? I can watch anything I want with a Chromecast, my phone, and a WiFi signal anywhere I want, on a 100 inch screen in passable HD with a JBL Flip filling the room and any reasonable flat surface.

This is my new TV and I couldn’t be happier. Had the nebula and it couldn’t hold a candle to this thing( which is how bright the Nebula is btw). This is brighter by far and as bright as to be expected from a 600 ANSI projector. I’ve had it on for 12hours and it doesn’t get too hot. Picture is clear at 100inches and could go bigger with similar results I feel. Sound is enough but pairs well with my Sony Xbr-20. PlayStation, fire stick, TV antenna all hooked up at once and run well. Video games are amazing on it. Can’t wait for football season. Only real gripe is the remote feels kinda cheap and is over crowded with non backlit buttons. Fan is audibly noticeable if sitting right next to it until you learn to drown it out like a screaming kid. Love it so far. Buy it and you can’t go wrong.

This is a great projector, sadly I had to return it because of missing features I need like 3d,zoom and a custom preset picture option which might be there but I didn’t get a chance to get deep into settings because I didn’t have the optimal mounting position,I do but I didn’t want to drill holes in my ceiling,I wanted to replace it where I have my wowoto h9 and because there was no zoom feature the picture was bigger than my 100 inch screen, also since I already own a portable projector the zte spro 2 so even though the picture on the lg is beautiful and better at 1080p compared to 720,keeping it was not an option for me but as a first portable full HDTV projector with some missing minor features for some it’s a great projector.i giving this act star review because of the speedy delivery and great customer service!
