Excellent price and quality

We love our movie nights when out camping with our friends. I have been using a nice projector but it did lack the intensely bright picture that we wanted, or needed. This projector solves that issue. It is not only bright, but the sound quality is great and the volume level is also very nice. You really do not need a sound system indoors. You can, however, add external sound systems by using the earphone/audio out jack.It takes some doing to learn all that it does so I still have more to play with but it is generally easy to operate. The Android app it uses is just like the app on our TV set that we have been using for some time so it is quite easy to navigate. You can download many apps to use for your viewing or gaming pleasure. I did experience just a little issue with the auto keystone operation but I feel that it is more me than the projector. There is no manual keystone lever or dial like so many others offer so I will sort it out.As i already wrote, the picture is quite bright and the sound is great indoors. The picture is crystal clear and the sound is also very clear. It can be used on screens up to 120 inches. We are using a 100 inch screen and it is a perfect fit. There is an option in the programming that allows you to actually size the picture without having to move it closer or farther from the screen. Well, within reason. A large picture up real close to the screen requires the projector to be moved back. But that is reasonable to expect.I was able to set the remote up as it really does it all by itself. Unfortunately, pairing with my Android phone is another thing. I just could not get it done. I am not saying that the projector was at fault, more likely it was me messing things up. I will eventually get it right. Once started there will be a program update that will take approx 30 minutes to download.It cones in a nice labeled box and includes the projector and a second box that has the remote (2 AAA batteries not included), charging cable, power supply and cord and the best manual that I have ever seen for a projector.It is a small unit at about 5 inches tall, 4 inches wide and maybe 4 1/2 deep. There is a handle on the top for carrying. A single on/off button is found on the top with no additional controls anywhere. You must use the remote to navigate and operate. This is something that does not sit well with me. I like not totally relying on a remote. Should the remote fail the phone app might be your only option. I cannot say for sure because, as said earlier, mine did not work. On the back is the remote sensor, the power input, the headphone/audio out jack, a USB plug, an HDMI plug and a power indicator that is red when plugged in and off that turns green when on. No SD card slot are found on this one.Other than the lack of onboard controls I can’t find a single thing to not like about this product. We will be camping with the gang in two weeks and everyone is looking forward to another movie night. This projector will be the hit of the party.

The media could not be loaded. KODAK FLIK HD9 Smart Projector is bright, clear and portable! At about 5″x 4″x 6″, this little smart travel-friendly projector packs a punch. The video and sound quality has exceeded our expectations. We are later adding a sound system, but for this compact Kodak FLIK HD9 Projector, one is not needed as the speaker does emit very clear and loud sound, good enough to reach around a good size living room without distortion.Without going into tech or specs, leave that to the original site/ad, I will just highlight some of the features that are interesting and note worthy.PACKAGING: Shipped quickly, was a small tight package, which when opened, you are greeted with the KODAK manual. Further peek into the box, exposes how well the projector was shipped with great care in mind, with a second box along side of the well-protected unit.CONTENTS include project unit, remote ( requires 2 AAA batteries, not included), power cord with AC adapter and manual.LIGHTWEIGHT: This KOADK FLIK HD9 weighs in at 2.2lbs! (Talk about portable)!…and SMALL…fits in the palm of my hand.NETWORK COMPATIBILITY is 2.4GHz AND 5GHz!PROJECTION SETTINGS ( Keystone, vertical, horizontal, zoom and more) via remote on-screen.FULL HD 1080p resolution! Images can project up to 120″. ( Exceptional quality in the darkest room up to still very good clear, crisp images in the daytime. Outdoor night-time viewing is also exceptional but outdoors daytime is nearly invisible, unless you sit right on top it or in a shady area). I’m glad to see that Kodak is still around and making quality products. This 1080p projector from them packs a lot of nice features into a very small package, and for a very reasonable price. It’s size and lightweight construction makes it much easier than a lot of comparable projectors to fit onto a mounting shelf and it also has a 1/4” threaded base for mounting on a tripod or articulating arm. It has HDMI and USB ports (one of each) in the back but since it features wifi and built-in streaming apps and capabilities, you may not even need the wired inputs (other than for something like a Blue Ray player or other device without wifi).The fact that it’s an Android-based streaming platform is another standout feature. For instance, Roku no longer offers Google Play (or Google TV as it’s now called), at least not directly (without screen mirroring), and this does.It’s very easy and intuitive to set up and adjust (especially if you’ve dealt with projectors before) and there are clear instructions in the very nice included manual. There’s an exterior focus adjustment wheel on the top and the picture keystone/tilt, placement, and size/zoom can all be adjusted through the settings menu. It also has a very nice set of built in speakers, a 3.5mm audio output, and Bluetooth speaker connectivity as options for the sound.With adjustments, the picture quality is better than a couple of other “true HD” projectors I’ve tried (on an 8k capable screen) but at 1920x1080p resolution, don’t expect this to look like a 4K tv…this is intended to be more of an easy to use streaming projector than a cinema-quality movie projector. As such, this projector is exceptionally well designed, has a lot of nice built-in features, it’s easy to use, and it’s the most compact and portable projector I’ve seen (at least for one with this set of features). For a projector in this resolution class, this is a solid five stars.
