From my daughter:I love these cards. I use them with my Animal Crossing game. They work perfectly and they are great to trade with friends. I also like how the unplayable cards are sparkly so you know they are unplayable. If you like Animal Crossing then these are the cards for you.

The media could not be loaded. I got my first Amiibo card package and I didn’t know what to expect tbh, I wanted to see which ones I would get and I’m okay with the villagers I got, I already invited Pekoe to my island in Animal Crossing New Horizons, the cards took a bit to arrive but nothing that wasn’t stated already when I bought them, I’d buy another package again in the future since you can kick out specific villagers like this hehe… would recommend them, they seem like a good collectible/useful item.

Something to keep in mind with these cards is that while they are compatible with Animal Crossing: New Leaf Welcome Amiibo version, they are slightly more limited than the Welcome Amiibo cards you can purchase at a higher price. Unless you have a Wii U and the Animal Crossing game on that system (party game or something) or you just like collecting the cards like me, you would probably be better off buying that set.A quick comparison between the Series 1-4 amiibo cards and the Welcome Amiibo cards is that first, you can tell the difference easily in that there should be an RV full of stuff with the villager on the card. It shows you what stuff they’ll have in their RV if you invite them. Welcome Amiibo cards let those villagers visit via RV, but the Series 1-4 cards, at best, let them live in your village or give you one free, random item (as well as special cards, like Pave, giving you their photograph if you want it, instead; keep in mind you’re guaranteed one special card per pack). So if you want the RV visits, which means lots of furniture items and accessories to buy, get the Welcome Amiibo card packs. If you just want villagers to move into your village, these ones are great for that, too.

These are standard size cards with little chips in them so you can bring the characters to life in either Happy Home Designer or New Leaf(after the update early November 2016). The colors are very vibrant and I love the shine on the special character cards. You can use these cards to get people to move into your town in New Leaf, or you can use them to recruit the character as a client in Happy Home Designer, and design their home. Of course, you’ll need an NFC reader if you don’t have the “New” 3DS. The NFC reader is about $20. They’re kind of overpriced if you aren’t actually going to use them for the games, so I can’t say I recommend them if that’s the case. But if you’re willing to spend another 20, or you have the 3DS with a built-in NFC reader, these are awesome. The picture added is of the cards I received, but keep in mind there are 100 different cards in the series and each pack is random, so don’t expect to get exactly what I got.

There are other reviews saying these are a scam and you only get 3 cards instead of the 6 you’re supposed to get but I’ve bought 3 packs (1 about a week ago and 2 together recently) and I’ve gotten 6 cards in all of them (I got a duplicate Cesar and they are both in the same spot so that’s why you can only see 17 and not 18)

I like the amiibo aspect of my switch in general, and these cards work to scan in any villager you get in the pack.Sad thing is, I got an Alfonso card and he was already in my village :(. Still, just put it up as decoration at my desk!Whenever you scan one in, the villager will show up at your campsite, you can get new DIY recipes this way.You can only scan in one villager per day at your campsite, but if you want new recipes and the villager of your choosing, this is the way to go. Really cool.

With the fact that Amiibo support was added to Animal Crossing New Leaf, I finally shelled out a bit of money on these cards. They’re well printed and are on some nice cardstock. I highly doubt anyone would trade these, but they do what they’re supposed to do when it comes to unlocking content in games. Even though there’s only a few games which support these cards so far, Amiibos aren’t going anywhere any time soon and based off of what we’ve seen so far with certain Amiibos, even if they make other versions of the same character (Mario Bros series Mario and Smash Bros series Mario share Amiibo IDs internally. I wouldn’t be surprised if these work in any Animal Crossing game to come, and even some others
