I have a Roku TCL TV and was worried this wouldn’t be compatible. Thankfully it absolutely is. I was relieved to see my TV listed on the code area. First code worked off the bat. The Roku remote is HORRIBLE. Like sheesh, redesign it, Roku. I had to press the volume buttons until my fingers were sore because it wouldn’t budge without an aggressive press down. Finally, I can save my fingers the trouble. It’s clunky and old school, but I recommend it over the Roku remote any day!!Update: decided to update my review to five stars because, though it’s not modern (my only caveat), it’s perfectly workable, easy to set up, and way better than my previous Roku remote (if you don’t already see my extreme upset with it above!!). Definitely recommend it.

We just changed our DirectTV to the online version, and we now have to access it from Roku. We found that we were using 4 different remotes to manage everything, and then I found this remote. I really didn’t expect it to work all of the electronics, and would have been happy if it worked at least a couple. I was wrong! It easily connected to our Panasonic TV, our Denon receiver, the Roku, and the Sony Blue-ray player. The supplied codes worked great, and now we have only ONE remote to use…I love it!! Love the blue color, too! Well written directions, and it does what you hope it will do…replace those 5 or 6 remotes laying around.

Replaced remote on my Sony TV. Instructions were very good. Only took 5-10 minutes to set-up. Works as good as the Sony remote.

I bought this so that I can connect my laptop to the HDMI input of TVs at hotels and resorts and select that input. The Hospitality Network remote and setup used at many hotels and resorts does not allow you to switch the input. The remotes don’t have input selection capability and if their is an input button on the TV is is disabled unless you disconnect the digital connection from the Hospitality Network box hanging off the back of the TV. I bought this remote for TVs that do not have an input button. Many new TVs do not even have a power button and cannot be used at all without a remote. Samsung seems to be the most popular TV brand used by the hotels and resorts I visit and this remote works with those out of the box without setup. I do have to disconnect the digital connection cable from the back of the TV to use the remote but then I am golden and the remote can even be used to change channels and adjust the volume for the hotel provided choices. The Hospitality Network remote doesn’t work with the digital cable disconnected but I don’t need it with this remote. When I am ready to checkout I try to remember to reconnect the digital cable so the crippled Hospitality Network remote will work for the next guest.

This was easy to set up and use. I bought it for our Roku TV. The only thing I can’t figure out is a back button. When I am in an app I have to hit the home button and do back to the app to start watching something different. That is the only feature that doesn’t work for Mr or I just can’t figure out what button to push. Other than that I love it!

Bought two of these to replace older controllers on two older TV’s. They work ok. They have some functionality on You Tube TV that my older controller did not have. It allows fast forwarding through commercials on recorded shows that my other controllers could not do.

One of the main reasons I bought this was because my last remote was a 15+ year old Comcast remote and the buttons were starting to not work and I saw that this one actually has an input button, unlike the Comcast one and the buttons on the side of my TV are also going bad so I really needed this. However, when I press the input button on this remote the only thing it does is change the mode (off, game, sports, etc) and doesn’t bring up the input menu to change which device I have plugged into it.

Our old Vizio remote stopped working on a 15+ year old TV. The new remote came with a code list, and I used the first Vizio code as suggested in the manual. The remote works perfectly.
