The proof is in the name, simply safe! We just bought a new house and I really wanted to get an affordable system that was easy to install and use, and that is exactly what we got when we purchased this! You also have the option of what kind of subscription you want or can afford. I will say that the adhesive did not work at all on the textured walls that we have but we just nailed everything in and we have had no problems since! Overall this is such a good quality set and it’s so easy to use. It was absolutely worth the money and would definitely recommend it to anyone!

Very easy to install, seems to work well. No issues

We have had security systems from two different vendors (one that came with our house, and one we tried later on). Both were workable, but very expensive…ESPECIALLY if we needed to expand them. Adding door/window sensors, cameras, etc. not only came with a very high initial cost, but also resulted in additional monthly costs above and beyond what we were already paying. One of the vendors’ equipment in particular proved to perform quite poorly; it was centered around a touchscreen keypad that would often run so slowly that it could take 5 minutes for it to recognize that a door or window had opened. The vendor, of course, had no solution except to “upgrade” (at our cost). We’ve been researching alternatives for months. In the meantime, we’ve implemented things such as IP surveillance cameras and doorbell cameras, at a fraction of the cost of those offered by the above vendors. In the end, SimpliSafe just made the most sense. Purchase the equipment we want, install it ourselves (installation was SUPER easy), and pay a reasonable monitoring fee every month. All devices are wireless, so there was no wiring to be done. The batteries will eventually drain and need to be replaced, but that is a minor nit to pick compared to the ease of not having to run sensor and keypad wiring (or try to re-use what’s existing). And the system can use both our home wifi and its own cellular connectivity to dial home, so we’re still protected in case our Internet fails or is cut off.The only significant downside is that it does not directly integrate with our other smart home devices and systems. For us that’s not much of an issue, because we’re able to keep track of the 3-4 apps between them all, but if we absolutely had to, we could replace our existing devices with SimpliSafe ones and not have to spend too much money doing so.Overall, a great choice if you don’t mind (or you enjoy) doing the installation work yourself, and have at least a basic set of technical understanding. They do have installation options, but if you’re builing a system like this, you likely don’t need them to install it for you.

This item is exactly like it’s name, SimpliSafe. Setup was easy and didn’t require any tools. There is an optional subscription for $29.99/month, and that is something we opted into for direct access to the call center.

I rent and live in a rental place & for years I have been trying to get home security system for my rental place, but most places cater to home owners only. I been relying on CCTV camera systems alone for over 10 years now, until I read about SimpliSafe. So I got this SimpliSafe unit here and it took quite awhile to set up due mostly to poor internet connections I have where I now live, but managed to get it set up in about 1 hour. I ordered several extra sensors and key fob unit that this set did not come with, but overall….I think it’s worth the money. You got to load their app on your smartphone first off and take it from there. You get a choice of several monthly packages to protect your apartment or home and most get their first month for free with security protection. No doubt, well worth it and the sensors and keypads are easy to use and install. Not sure how long the battery life is for those sensors and such, but I’d give it 5 stars because for renters in the USA, there really is not many options for home security out there still.

Perfect home security. User friendly and kid friendly. I wish the volume on the base was louder.

I was looking for a replacement for my Internet provider’s “Quad Play” alarm and found this solution. I don’t need 24 hour dispatch, just a system I can configure for my home needs. The product is very well thought out. Its design is clean and the packaging/setup is very simple (I have 8 entry sensors and a motion detector). I can configure how alerts are sent (email, SMS, push notifications), and whether to sound the main siren or not in each of the three modes – OFF, HOME, or AWAY – FOR EACH SENSOR. It also has “Secret Alerts” also settable for each sensor which just sends a notification (to your notification lists) without sounding an alarm if you want. When I received this system at first, the app had very basic features and almost returned it. I decided to call their support (ugh) but was connected right away with a very knowledgeable (US) agent. He politely informed me that to enable the features I wanted, it would cost $9.95/month (without 24 hour dispatch). Well, this is very reasonable, so I subscribed and all the features I mentioned above appeared in the iPhone app right away. I mean, they need to pay their software developers something to keep improving their features!

I used the older model for 7 years and now it was time to upgrade. Order arrived in one day and took me 30 minutes to unpack, activate, and install.I also contacted Customer Service and their representative was super helpful to answer my questions and guide me through installing all the devices.Very impressed with their Customer Service Support. Thank you

Howdy reader!I hope your day is going well.I’m guessing that you’re wanting to obtain information about the Simplisafe system.I’ve had a Simplisafe system since 2020 and it is everything I expected and then some…I recommend this system to anyone who wants a cost-effective DIY solution to provide security (I’m glad and thrilled about my original purchase). The customer service for Simplisafe is outstanding and has always been very helpful even about the simplest questions I’ve had.HOWEVER, HERE’S THE RUB…I specifically have a delivery note on my account and none of the delivery drivers (except one or two) ever pays attention to it.The note says ‘deliver package to the back door’; once again a delivery was placed at my front door.Either this info was not relayed to the responsible delivery party/driver or AMAZON DIDN’T SHARE IT!!I love ordering from Amazon, but this has got to stop (I guess I have to put a third sign on my property)…Product = five stars; delivery = not going to get a rating from me.Peace out!

It finally happened. Our house broken into. We had cameras all around our property to deter break ins with motion activated spotlights, but in this day and age thieves just don’t care. The crazy part was I was awake and in my living room and I have 3 dogs. None of us heard this man skulking around in my garage. I knew the cameras were not enough.I bought this system and holy wow. I was a little skeptical. Install in 30 minutes? No tools? Yeah right. But it’s true!I set the system up myself this morning. The app guides you through the process, and the peel and stick adhesives made installation a breeze. I had all 4 entry sensors, the keypad, the panic button and the siren installed in about 20 minutes. I didn’t install the motion detector yet, I haven’t found the best place for it yet, but when I do it’ll be in in less than 30 seconds. The alarm from the base is loud, but I would say not any louder than maybe your fire alarm. I added on a siren though and ooohhhh boy that thing is LOUD. I told my husband I am going to buy 10 more and line out house with them so next time, we’ll wake up the whole city 😂We haven’t signed up for the professional monitoring, but if we do, I’ll update.
